The list of returnees to the Indy Eleven roster has grown to 12 with today’s re-signing of midfielder Brad Ring. Per club policy, terms of the deal that brings the “Eleven Original” back to the squad for a fourth season will not be released.

“I'm very excited to be back with Indy Eleven. Being an original member from 2014, it's been amazing to be part of the organization’s growth, but one more step needs to take place this year and that's a championship,” stated Ring, one of three players current players with the club since its inaugural 2014 season alongside midfielder Don Smart and defender Marco Franco. Fans can hear more thoughts from Ring on tomorrow morning’s edition of Soccer Saturday with host Greg Rakestraw, airing from 9:00-10:00 a.m. on 93.5/1070 The Fan.

“Brad provides our team with great energy, intelligence and reliability, traits that have made him the best deep midfielder in the NASL over the last three seasons,” said Indy Eleven head coach Tim Hankinson. “His experience both on the field and in the locker room will further solidify the core of the 2017 squad.”

The upcoming season will mark Ring’s eighth at the professional level, his three years with Indy Eleven preceded by four at the Major League Soccer level with the San Jose Earthquakes (2010-2013) and the Portland Timbers (2013). The product of Indiana University (2005-08) has scored three goals in his 62 NASL regular season and postseason appearances, including one tally across 29 games (24 starts) in 2016.

Indy Eleven will begin the 2017 NASL season on the road on Saturday, March 25, before opening its 16-game regular season home schedule at IUPUI’s Carroll Stadium on Saturday, April 1.

@IndyEleven: LEGEND. Brad Ring (@BradRing87) has announced his retirement from professional soccer. Ring has been with Indy since the club's inaugural season in 2014. Upon leaving, he leads in all-time appearances and minutes played for the team. Thank for you being #Indy4Ever, Brad.
