Really don't get not having a bunt go down right after the double, and why put Smith in the PH? IU loses 2 - 1 in 10 innings.

Understandable, but to me it moves the runner to 3rd, and a better chance of scoring on an iffy play. Doesn't matter when the last two batters strikeout lol

I wouldn't have, not down anyway.  One swing of the bat and it's a walk off win.  Bunting moves the runner over but if he scores it's just tied, and you gave them a free out in the process.

 

If it was already tied, maybe.  There are times when bunting makes sense, but in that situation I wouldn't have.

 

Like you said, it doesn't matter now.

 

BTW, this is OT but Mitch Williams on MLB Tonight is a friggin' idiot.
