USC G Byron Wesley off the board

Recommended Posts

hmmm...

"Left the program because he did not know if he would fit in with transfer Katin Reinhardt and star recruit Jordan McLaughlin joining the team next season, sources said."

"Although Wesley was expected to be the key to next year’s team, he was concerned whether Enfield-recruited players (Reinhardt, McLaughlin) would be the focal point of the offense. Wesley and McLaughlin both attended Etiwanda High School in Rancho Cucamonga."

Wesley, who could not be reached for comment, is considering Big Ten schools Indiana and Michigan and should be immediately eligible since he expects to graduate from USC this summer.

Why not? We're not going to fill all 3 scholarships and a guy that would only take up a scholly for 1 year is enough for me to say yes anyways. At the beginning of the season he would be the 6th man and is good insurance incase of an injury or RJ not doing as well as expected...

Yeah people are talking about Stan playing the 3 in some situations and he's 6'3. I'll take a 6'5 wing any day. That's how tall Vic was (is) and we went Yogi Jordy Vic.

Yea, looks good. I'd love Byron to join up. 17 ppg and 6 boards? Nice

Obviously it's way too early to know where Wesley will go, but if he came here could the starting five possibly be Yogi, Blackmon, Wesley, Williams, and Hanner/Davis? Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app

I've just been skimming, but will he sit a year? May have missed something.

That would be my bet.  I like it too.

Only thing that I dislike is that I get the feeling he's not a team player; based off his reasons for leaving USC.  That I don't care much for. Can't be too picky at this point though.

If he joined, we'd have solid scoring options at the 1, 2, 3, and 4 positions. (based off the above starting line up)
