2015 In-state Recruiting

Recommended Posts

Interesting look at the recruiting classes to come out of Indiana over the last few years, ranked by Oosterman and Neddenriep.

@ZachOsterman: How would you rank Indiana's last 10 high school recruiting classes? @KyleNeddenriep and I took a stab at it: http://t.co/TjCEoBrG03

E...I....E....I....... O

Dang gummit .....outta milk.

This just makes me think. If you are a dairy farmer, would you get the best milk from your cows, or would you travel 500 miles to a farm for the same milk. Makes perfect sense. Keep all of your milk, and only go to the other farms if you run out.

I've seen this. But this just means Indiana is a recruiting hot bed for the entire country. Many in this forum want Crean to "lock down the borders", but is it really ideal for us to spend the amount of time it would take to do that and keep out the rest of the country, or just continue to go hard for one or two and then recruit elsewhere?

This has always been my stance on recruiting. Go and try to get one or two of the best in the state, which we did in 2014 (JBJ) and then try to find talent elsewhere (Rojo). Locking down the state is great and all, but feels like Crean and assistants have spent a good amount of time building connections outside of the state. Would be dumb at this point to burn those bridges and focus everything on just recruiting one group of kids
