He was 247 composite 11th.  In that class, as a reclass.  Hell that is top 5 any other year.  That class was stacked.  He was top 3 in 2014 if he stayed.  Cody was 11th based on 247, and they had Yogi at 14 in 2012.  Crazy.

The 247 composite had Cody at 10. Yogi at 21. Vonleh at 11. Porter is at 3 right now.

I was talking about composite for Noah and then what 247 had Yogi and Cody ranked. They were higher than most on those two. In Yogi's year it was him and Paige. Week year for pg. Cody was so small. That effected his ranking. Noah was higher ranked than both due to potential. I worry less about rank and more on the instant impact a player can offer. That's why I wanted players like Gary Harris over Jeremy and Ron. We need to hit on Wilkes. IMO

Your Top 10 recruits are going to have big impacts most likely.

Gary Harris would have been the perfect piece. Hollowell had the size but Gary had the game. No comment on Buss. A lot of people seemed to like him. I was never too excited. Seemed raw in HS.

Buss was intriguing coming out of HS. Literally an athletic freak with a +12 wingspan who was known for his defense. I saw Buss here in Philly at the Mary Kline Classic and I've never seen someone with arms that long, they hung at or below his knees. Freaky, really. Not to mention he broke George Hill's scoring record at Broad Ripple. It didn't work out but that was one tough kid.

I was one of very few... maybe the only person that liked Hollowell and still likes him. Personally I thought he was greatly misused. Crean wanted another Watford. But that wasn't Hollowell. And Hollowell was a decent defender. His handles were shaky but was a good passer. I don't think he had the confidence to shoot the 3 well. He was a pretty good athlete too. Someone to put on the wing and shoot. IMO his best spot would have been what I call the "Melo spot." That corner on the FT line. Where you can catch, turn and shoot, make an easy pass because you're in the middle but have an angle, or make a quick 1 or 2 dribble move. But instead Crean threw him in the post.

I liked the idea of Hollowell. He thought he was going to be the next best thing. Wasn't great at anything. Had a lot of potential though. Attitude was never going to be right.

Hated missing on Gary Harris and Trevon Bluiett. Was okay on Irvin.

RoJo, Blackmon, Bluiett, OG, TB ?? Maybe not enough balls but that lineup is very well rounded. 5 shooters with modest to above average size and athleticism. That's why I think Hartman starts. He will be our 3 man, I think.

Exactly. Top 10 recruits don't guarantee a championship but they can put you in the running when you already have a solid core .
