Ronnie Johnson Leaving Purdue

Recommended Posts

I talked to Errick Peck last night and it has nothing to do with Painter or the program. He just wants to make it to the NBA and doesn't  think Purdue is the place

Then it's very much about the program if he doesn't think Purdue is the place to get him to the nba.

That is 100% reflective of Purdue. That's actually a worse comment than saying he just hates Purdue...

It does raise an interesting thought. Also, it wasn't obvious to me but the riff between Crean and Hollowell could very well revolve around the Ron Patterson decision. They are best friends after all.[/quote]

I see UIC getting all 3, if it is true & UIC wont win a thing with those 3.

if a player wants to transfer then I say good-by because they sure don't want to be here. Same thing if they want to go pro. Get players who want to be here.

Ken.  Welcome to the site brother!  I am on board w/your first statement.  If a player wants to leave, good riddance.  Don't let the door hit you where the good lord split you.  Now, in my eyes, going pro is a little difference.  The player isn't leaving his school for a like school.  He's going into a profession.  A step up.  IMO, they are different.  Long story short, if a player leaves early to go pro, i won't hold it against them and will root for them.  If they leave to transfer to another school...adios brother.
