From last year:

6’8 2014 Rokas Gustys: Gustys is a tough and physical player from Lithuania. He is a physically strong PF and is a two handed rebounder. While Gustys is not the most athletic player, he is fundamentally sound and possesses a high basketball IQ. He has nifty feet in the low post area and has extremely soft hands. While Gustys scored the majority of his points on the interior, he has the ability to step out and consistently knock down the perimeter jumper. Gustys is averaging 7.0 PPG going 57-108 from the floor for 53%. Although he has a nice touch, he has struggled at the FT line going 19-39 for only 45%. He averaged 5.7 RPG and look for Gustys to be a major target for his position in the 2014 class.

I'd pass.  We cannot afford to add any more 4 year players to this class.  We have got to start balancing classes to avoid this "rebuilding" crap every few years that Crean is trying to sell us.

We need to add a big, but we should be looking JUCO or graduate transfers.

Agreed - and we know Crean doesn't have a good track record with project bigs.

No 4 year big projects. We need a juco, mature and battle ready. Knight didn't like to go the juco route but he was smart enough to know when he had a desperate need and went out and found the skilled players. There's got to be another Dean Garrett type of guy out there ready to come in and contribute. Seriously.

If I really had my preference it'd be a graduate transfer that only ties up the scholarship one year, I really want to see us getting our classes balanced.

Although, I'd be okay with a JUCO for a couple years as a stop gap allowing us to balance classes and allow time to get an impact big(s).

Why not look for both a 4 year player and a Juco or transfer big. Do we really think Our Soph big project is ever going to see 18-22 minutes a game in the B10? Need to realize it's not going to work and get both, and hope Noah sticks around for one more year.

I'd rather add a JUCO and get a 4 year for 2015.  We have to start balancing classes if we want to avoid these "rebuilds" every few years, and adding a 4 year big to this class is counter productive to the cause.

And NO project bigs, period.  Crean's track record with projects is underwhelming to say the least.

I feel like this guy and the other guy we're supposedly recruiting are upgrades over Hanner - which isn't saying much - so that's why I kind of want one of them. Guess I would prefer a JUCO or something for sake of balancing recruiting classes and avoiding a season like this every four years though.
