SETTING THE SCENE 
• The Hoosiers ride a 3-0 victory over Northwestern on Nov. 8 into postseason play. 
• That win over the Wildcats propelled Indiana from seventh to fifth in the Big Ten standings, setting up a meeting with fourth seed Michigan in the quarterfinals. 
• Indiana is 7-1 in the quarterfinal round of the Big Ten Tournament. 
• The Hoosiers are 2-0 against Michigan in the Big Ten Tournament, winning 1-0 in 2001 and 2008. 
• Indiana is 27-8-5 all time in the Big Ten tournament and is one of just two teams with a winning record in tournament play (Penn State). 
• The Hoosiers own 11 Big Ten Tournament titles. Next on the list are Michigan State, Penn State and Ohio State with three each. 
• Indiana's last Big Ten Tournament title came in 2006.

 

SERIES HISTORY 

• Indiana leads the all-time series 15-3-1 but has lost two straight to the Wolverines, both by 2-1 scores in the 2012 and 2013 regular season. 
• Andrew Oliver gave IU a 1-0 lead at Michigan with a first half score on Oct. 26, but Michigan came back with goals from Yamann Sahlool in the 70th minute and the game winner from TJ VanSlooten in the 88th minute. 
• Indiana's last win in the series was a 4-1 victory in 2011. Nikita KotlovAlec Purdie and Eriq Zavaleta(2) accounted for the Hoosier goals in its win. 
• Harrison Petts had a pair of assists in the 2011 victory, along with one for Matt McKain.

• That semifinal match will be shown live on the Big Ten Network. 

• Indiana dropped a 2-0 decision at home to Penn State on Oct. 6. 
• Indiana leads the all-times series with Penn State, 29-12-3. 
• Indiana is 4-2 in the last six meetings. 
• The last meeting between the schools in the Big Ten Tournament came in 2010, a 2-1 win for the Nittany Lions in the semifinals.

Early reminder. We take on the Lions @ Noon ET tomorrow on BTN. Set the DVR. Hoosiers still have some life left. MSU vs NU in the other semifinal after ours.
