Rapid Reaction LIU-Brooklyn vs. Indiana

Recommended Posts

Never really been a big fan of Will taking 3s, he should stick to his mid range and drives. I love yogi but he needs to relax a little, i understand his frustration because hes used to winning these games in November with last years squad. Noah is becoming my favorite player next to Troy, Noah kept trying even though we were down early in the first half. As said a million times we are super athletic but young, lets just hope we get these jitters out now. Oh and nice recap keep it up!

Is Will supposed to pass on open shots? I liked that he kept launching. He is clearly the team leader, no fear! Even though we have many weapons, I think scoring the ball is going to be problematic.

I think Yogi was more frustrated with the officials.

Cody Zeller could not make it to this thread, so I will forward his tweets from last evening to express his pre and post-game thoughts:

My hotel room in Boston tonight better have the Big Ten Network. I want to see what these new look Hoosiers are all about!

I was way more nervous watching that game alone in my hotel room than I ever was playing in front of 17,000 fans!

It's always a good night when UK gets beat. Michigan State is the real deal. They have a lot of veteran guys who can really play!

Obviously we aren't a 3 point shooting team and I think it took the first half for this years team to realize that. It seemed CTC probably made that adjustment at halftime to let these kids know that we need to set up an offense and pass up a couple open look 3's and make the extra pass to find the easy 2pt bucket. It seems that's when the game changed. Hopefully they'll take that away from this game and continue the teamwork instead of the "I'm open, so I'll shoot" approach they had in the first. Going to be a fun and frustrating team to watch at the same time this year, but I did love the confidence I saw from the young freshman Vonleh. I think this guy will be special.

IU definitely settled in the first half. Sheehey is part to blame on this one. He pulled up too quickly quite a few times which set the tone for the half. He started to take over in the second half when he got the ball trough the normal offense. Great teaching experience for Crean and this young group.

thats also another way to look at it, i feel it was a combo of both. Im almost surprised he didnt get a flagrant for pushing that kid down and looking back, if you noticed he wasnt upset when they called the foul on him, he knew he was wrong.
