Jackson's toughest test all season coming up in the quarterfinals of the Midlands against #8 Sammy Brooks of Iowa. Defending B1G champ and ranked about the same in the top 10. He's our last man standing in the champ rounds. Weaver, Blanton, Danishek, Skatzka and Rypel still with a shot at the podium. Oliver (125), Pepple (133) and Martin (165) not in this tournament.

Jackson suffers his first loss of the season to #3 Dudley (Neb) 10-6 and moves to the cons. semis. Part deux on 1/29 when we host the Cornhuskers. 

Skatzka advanced to the cons. semis to with an 8-2 decision. 

The championships are on BTN tonight @ 8 pm ET.

That's all  for the Midlands. Skatzka redeems a 7-3 dec to Christensen (Wis) in our B1G opener with a 9-2 dec this time. Jackson falls to #8 Brooks (Iowa) 10-5 in a rematch from the quarterfinals. Skatzka starting to show that 4x state champ ability. We travel to little brothers place on 1/13.

Woohoo! We picked up our first B1G win of the season @ NW tonight. (8-5, 1-3) on the season. Jackson and Skatzka still leading the way. Oliver finally back in action and Danishek with bonus points. We host Nebraska on Sunday.

We wrap up the regular season @ #11 Illinois on BTN here in a few minutes. Some tough matches.

EDIT: Jackson gets his 100th career win and Weaver gets a PIN. 9-9, 2-7 on the season.

The Indiana wrestling team preceded the tournament postseason with a dual meet at No. 18 Appalachian State, as part of the annual NWCA Division-I National Dual Championship series. The Hoosiers (10-9, 2-7) scored their first top-20 win of the season over the Mountaineers (13-3, 8-0), winning six bouts for a 21-12 victory. Next: We host the B1G Championships on Mar. 4th and 5th.
