BLOOMINGTON, Ind.– The Indiana wrestling team goes on the road for the third time in conference action as they travel to West Lafayette for a match against No. 18 Purdue on Friday Jan. 18 at 7:00 p.m.

Notes
• The Hoosiers are 4-7 overall and 1-3 in the Big Ten. Purdue comes in with an overall record of 4-4 and 1-1 in the Big Ten.
• Last time out the Hoosiers opened their new arena Wilkinson Hall with a 36-3 win against Maryland.
• Both Purdue and Indiana have beat Maryland this year. Purdue beat Maryland 28-10 on Friday Jan. 11.
• Purdue leads the all-time series 53-39-3 and have won the last eight dual matches. The last Purdue win in the series was 2/14/10 and last win in West Lafayette was 1/22/06.
• The Hoosiers are led in overall wins by seniors Jake Danishek and Bryce Martin with 14 wins each.
• Danishek got the first pin in Wilkinson Hall against Maryland and his fifth pin of the season.
• After the match against Purdue, the Hoosiers have their next three matches at home, starting with hosting No. 1 Penn State on Sunday Jan. 27.
• In the South Beach Duals in Fort Lauderdale, Fla., the Hoosiers beat then #12 North Carolina (currently ranked #17).
• Among the best individual wins for the Hoosiers, Paul Konrath beat #4 Tariq Wilson of NC State in a 4-3 decision at the South Beach Duals.
• In the win over North Carolina, Norman Conley bested #11 Chip Ness in a 3-2 decision.

Hoosiers fall at #18 Purdue, 18-11. Senior Jake Danishek beat #6/#12 Griffin Parriott in a 6-4 decision. The win marks the 15th win of the season for Danishek. Following the decision for Danishek, fellow senior Bryce Martin won by decision 6-2. For Martin it was also his 15th win of the season. Up next the Hoosiers host #1 Penn State on Sunday Jan. 27 at 1:00 p.m. at Wilkinson Hall.
