ANN ARBOR, Mich - Indiana led early but a pair of second-half goals from Michigan (7-4-3, 3-2 B1G), including the game winner with less than three minutes remaining resulted in a 2-1 loss Saturday night in Ann Arbor, Mich.

Indiana drops to 5-10-1 on the season, 1-3 in Big Ten play.

The first 15 minutes of play produced just one shot as Michigan's James Murphy sent his attempt wide right of the goal. Patrick Doody took the first shot for the Hoosiers as he curled it wide left with 21:34 left in the first half.

Nikita Kotlov broke through the Michigan defense and sent a slow roller across the goal mouth that U-M goalkeeper Adam Grinwis was able to smother. Femi Hollinger-Janzen was waiting on the back post if Grinwis had spilled the ball.

The Hoosiers had a nice sequence when Femi Hollinger-Janzen sent a ball into the box and A.J. Corrado played it back to Harrison Petts, who sent his shot high.

In the 38th minute Michigan's Rylee Woods took a shot that went off goalkeeper Michael Soderlund and off the cross bar. As it bounced back into the field of play, Patrick Doody chested it off the line and out for a corner kick. Ezekiel Harris got a head on the corner kick from Fabio Pereira but sent it high.

Indiana took a 1-0 lead in the 43rd minute on a goal from Andrew Oliver. Scoring his second goal in as many matches, Oliver headed the ball over the head of Grinwis who had come off his line. The ball came into Oliver in the 18-yard box on a ball over the top from the left side from Doody.

Michigan held a 7-4 lead in shot attempts at the halftime break, with two corner kicks to none for IU.

Seventh minutes into the second half, Oliver was carrying the ball across the top of the 18 when he was tripped, setting up a free kick. Doody, Harrison Petts and A.J. Corrado stood over it, and 10 tapped it to Doody who had his shot blocked.

Soderlund was on his game in the 62nd minute with shots from Tyler Arnone and Murphy stopped at the line. The Hoosiers were living dangerously in front of their own net and Michigan broke through with the game-tying goal in the 70th minute when Yamann Sahlool headed home a cross from Pereira.

Michigan's game-winning goal came with 2:46 to play. Rylee Woods crossed the ball into the box and it glanced off Lars Eckenrode before T.J. VanSlooten slammed it home.

Indiana returns home Friday, Nov. 1 for its final home match of the regular season as it takes on the Michigan State Spartans. Game time is 7 p.m. ET on Jerry Yeagley Field at Bill Armstrong Stadium. IU seniors Jacob BushueA.J. CorradoNikita KotlovMatt McKain and Harrison Petts will be honored.
