Rutgers ended the season hot with an upset of No. 18 Iowa on its Senior Day on Sunday. They are led by All-Big Ten First Team selection redshirt junior guard Arella Guirantes, who averages 20.0 points per game. Junior forward Tekia Mack adds double figures for the Scarlet Knights with 11.7 points and team-high 6.9 rebounds per game. Their signature stingy defense leads the league, as they hold opponents to just 56.1 points per game and limiting them to shooting a collective 35 percent from the floor.

  • Indiana holds an all-time record of 18-26 in the Big Ten Tournament with one tournament championship in school history (2002). It is 0-3 all-time as the No. 4 seed (1998, 2016, 2017).
  • Four players earned All-Big Ten honors on Monday afternoon with redshirt junior guard Ali Patberg and sophomore guard Grace Berger each picking up All-Big Ten First Team nods. Junior guard Jaelynn Penn picked an All-Big Ten honorable mention (media) selection while freshman forward Mackenzie Holmes made the All-Freshman team.
  • With a win in the regular season finale on Sunday at Michigan, Indiana tied a program-best 23 wins, which matches the 23 victories set in the 2017-18 season when the program won the WNIT. They also set a new school record with 13 Big Ten wins, besting the 12 they previously recorded in the 2015-16 season.
  • Of its projected teams to play in Friday's quarterfinal matchup, the Hoosiers went 2-0 against its competition this season. They picked up a road win at Rutgers, outlasted the Badgers at home on Jan. 30 in overtime.
