If true it’s most unfortunate. Give him a slap on the wrist punishment like UM, OSU, PSU and MSU would.

Can't agree with that.  IU needs to maintain standards and this (allegedly) is way over the line.  Good luck to him wherever he goes.

Didn’t realize the allegation was battery of a female. If that’s true then the consequences should be strong. I thought he was in a fight with some guy, among other things.

Weird that the only felony is the entry.

Misdemeanor battery, and I would assume there’s a felony battery option.

It’ll depend on evidence. If she has bruising on her neck he’s toast and I can’t / wouldn’t argue against it. Best case scenario for Peyton is cooler heads prevail, the “neck slam” was by in large exaggerated due to her being scared and upset and they throw out the other stuff, chalk it up to a miss understanding followed by a heated argument. He gets destruction of property for the phone and everyone moves on.

Either way, I’m incredibly disappointed in him as this kind of stuff cannot happen. This is why IU can’t have nice things

This line of thinking has got to go. Our athletes dont deserve to be treated unfairly.

An isolated mistake is that. He hasn't been in trouble at all. 2-3 games... run the crap out of him and move on. Honestly absurd I hear so much of this moral high ground talk, but we employed BK for so long.

Assuming everything is correct in the report, he should be a Hoosier in the fall.

Update on Peyton Hendershot's case: The Monroe County prosecutor's office has filed charges. All four are misdemeanors: domestic battery, criminal trespass (preliminary charge was felony residential entry), criminal conversion, criminal mischief.

Hopefully this gets worked out to the satisfaction of all parties and everyone involved can move on with their lives a little wiser.
