This thought never occurred to me until now.  Because he was fired, he may have been told he is not allowed on campus.  And then that would mean he would need to ask for permission to be on campus.  And that may explain why he has never come back.  Because he never asked for permission.

He's already been back on campus.  He took in a baseball game last year.

Ah ok, so much for that thought then.  Now I wonder if he was violating university policy by doing that, or if he asked the university if he could go to go to the game lol.

That’s not really what I meant. Of course you have to have flexibility, I meant that the idea to cancel because word got out and they don’t want a spectacle is maybe not the best way to go.

If people wanted to see Knight walk on the court and do nothing but wave hello, it's going to be spectacle -- whether it's announced, unannounced, expected, or unexpected.  And just my opinion, nothing else....but reports I've heard about his state of mind might indicate that a visit to Assembly Hall might not bring back the memories to him that we fans have about his time here.

I wish him peace more than I wish he come back to Assembly Hall.  I'm just not certain that at this point in his life that coming back is able to bring much meaning to him.  Hope I'm wrong, but I think sadly that time might have already passed.
