The thing i dont want to happen is IU start getting one and done players..no need for that in college basketball

I'm perfectly okay with Indiana getting One and Done players as long as they meet the following requirements:

  1. Team Success FIRST, Individual success second.
  2. Solid Academics
  3. Will be a great ambassador for Indiana University.
  4. One in done because he earned it through hard work and dedication to improving his game while helping Indiana win games.

I agree with you completely on all of the following, but do you believe that will happen? i personally do not. If Indiana starts to become a one and done school I believe it will be hard for the players to fully become a team. my reason is, in the back of their minds they are thinking i have to get my points and rebounds.

Agree that we don't need him, but be is definitely an amazing basketball player and would help our team GREATLY. We are still getting good recruits, but IU would still be better with him. Kid can play.

I totally agree he's a wicked player, my issue with him is I used to follow him on twitter, and there just somethin about his attitude that rubs me wrong, and don't think he'd fit in at IU

So you wouldn't want someone like Eric Gordon on this team?  There's nothing wrong with getting one and done players.  It works pretty well in the right situations.  I'm not a fan of they way UK almost exclusively gets one and dones, leaving few to no experienced players.  I don't like the one and done stuff either, but to just ignore a talent because they'll only be there one year would be ignorant.

Best example is Syracuse with Carmelo.  Syracuse had a solid team of players already, but adding Carmelo was the tipping point to a National Championship.

why would gordon stay? he left illinios for IU then the coach that got him, left. no need for him to stay

Not sure who this is directed towards, (using the quote buttons can help), but If you are responding to CrimsonClothing, I think he was saying would you not want Gordon at all (since is he was a One and Done).  Then again, could be way off from what you were meaning.

I was just saying that Gordon was a One and done because of his situation

Respect your opinion, but I think he was 1 and Done regardless of where he went or who coached him. Agree the situation made it easier for him, but think he would have gotten to the same conclusion.
