And we keep both QBs. Going to be big. Schedule is tougher next year.

Not sure I agree with your assessment about the 2020 schedule - yes Wisconsin is going be an extremely tough sled in Madison, but the OOC seems manageable couple that with home slates against Michigan St. Maryland, Illinois, and Purdue + Rutger in NJ, see below, I can reasonably see a path to bowl eligibility in 2020.

With that said, let's enjoy the ride...as you know Brass, this doesn't happen very often my friend!

Never said there wasn’t a path to a bowl. Just less margin for error. Trading Northwestern and Nebraska for two better teams

@lucel15 are you worried about losing key contributors to early draft entry?  The only Jr/RS So. guy that comes to mind is Whop, and I don't expect him to leave given his size, but would love your thoughts here.

No I don’t expect to lose any to early draft. I think kids will want to stick around and be apart of something special once again. I think and the vibe I get/have gotten is there’s tons of unfinished business left. Meaning missed bowl chances. Not to mention.....whops year has been great, but I think missing A lot of games last year hurt his future stock aka this coming draft....I can see major contributors staying. I can also see cronk coming back....moves to guard since that’s his playing position in the nfl.

There is a realistic path to a 6-1 start next season.

Agreed.  @ Wis, @ O$U, @Mich & PSU are tough, but every other game seems very realistic.

Long ways off and tons of unknowns, but I'd take 8-4 right now!

Until we beat MSU gotta lump them into that difficult group.

That’s 4 no excuse to lose and 3 winnable possibly favored games and 5 we’ve been banging our heads against the wall teams.

There’s a realistic path for sure but it’s a tougher path than this year by virtue of trading Nebraska for Wisconsin and Northwestern for Illinois.

Because we’re used to waiting until the final game of the regular season to see if we’re bowling. Now that we have it wrapped up in October we’re unsure what to do.

I’d rather think about beating Northwestern at home to guarantee a wining season.

Go into PSU with our hair on fire and a “throw everything and the kitchen sink” at them mentality. I want to see us compete.

Have a chance to beat meat chicken at home late in the fourth.

Then go up to west “smells like an *******” and embarrass them to get to, at least, eight wins and a solid bowl to show to recruits.

This season still has the chance to go down as the season we look back in 10 years and say that’s when it changed. This could be the turning point of when IU went from a laughing stock to the middle tier of the Big Ten and a respectable program.

When it comes to Penn State. I think we have to do something unconventional to win. And I think we have a golden opportunity to try something against all conventional wisdom.

Alternate QBs. Look what happened to us against Nebraska with them alternating QBs. The defense was befuddled. I’m saying alternate in the middle of the drive but don’t ever let the defense know what QB they are facing next.

it’s crazy. It’s maybe stupid. It’s a gamble but playing conventional hasn’t gotten us anywhere against these powerhouse programs. What’s the worst that can happen we lose a game we are supposed too

I love the future talk about our beloved Hoosiers!  All of it is positive and a delight to be reading this morning.  But Northwestern right now fellas.  They'll need the support of their fans cheering them onward to victory at Memorial stadium this Saturday.  We show up in the stadium and let them know just how much we appreciate what they've been doing then others (cough cough recruits) will take notice.  Let's build something together.

I’m really curious to see what the attendance and attitude of the crowd is Saturday. Unfortunately, I feel it’ll be underwhelming because IU football.
