Weather caused a delay in the first game of the day scheduled to start at 11:00.   Game between Illinois and Nebraska was supposed to start at 1:30 but as of 3:45 is just in the bottom of the 2nd inning.  Our Hoosiers were to play at 4:30 but will be a TBD.

In that first game, #5 Wisconsin defeated #12 Iowa 7-4.

We got 1 back in the 2nd on a nice squeeze bunt by Bella Norton.  In the 3rd, some nifty IU bunting, aggressive base running and sloppy Penn State play scores 3 more and after 3 innings we lead 4-2.

In the 2nd inning, Tara Trainer became just the second pitcher in IU softball history with 800 career strikeouts.

Another 3 up, 3 down for Goodin in the 6th.  We put runners on 1st and 2nd with 2 out but leave them there.  After 6, still 4-2.

A great 3 innings of relief for Goodin - 9 up and 9 down.  Hoosiers win 4-2 and play again on Friday.

SCHEDULING CHANGE.  The winner of this game was originally scheduled to play a semifinal game against the winner of the PUke vs Minny game at 11:30 Saturday morning with the championship game to follow at 2:00.  Due to the threat of severe weather the Michigan vs Wisky semifinal game will start at 9:00 and the second semifinal game will start 35 minutes after the conclusion of that game.  The championship game will start 35 min. after the finish of the second semifinal game.

We go down in order and that's the ball game.  Northwestern wins 2-0.  Northwestern pitcher in control the entire game only allowing 1 Hoosier hit and giving up a single walk.  In contrast, Trainer and Goodin gave up 4 hits and 8 walks.  Pitching next season could be a real question mark for us.
