Not the best series given how bad MSU is but not a disaster by any means either since we won it. At 9-3 in Big Ten as long as we finish the same 9-3 the second half of conference play the championship should be ours. The problem is the 2nd half of schedule is tougher and will require winning series on road against tough Michigan and Illinois teams but if we can take those series and Minny along with sweeping Rutgers we should be good. Even 17-7 might get it done. We lost some margin for error and puts hosting a bit less likely but we are still right in thick of conference race and a near lock as a 2 or 3 seed for yet another Regional no matter what happens.

My only complaint was until late in the third game today we did not put this bad MSU team to bed as easy as we should of. We jumped out 4-0 Friday before letting them tie and then they self destructed with the 4 straight bases loaded walks and we won easily from there. In first game today we were up 3-0 and instead of putting them to sleep we left the light on and they scored 5 straight to win. Even in last game it took a lot longer to pull away then it should of against a horrid pitching staff.

I am very happy to get these awful teams out of way after Tuesday as they bring us nothing and we tend to play better against better teams and come out more focused and that is all we have till Rutgers series now. Hopefully we prove we are the best in conference beating some of the better teams moving forward. 

I will be at next 3 games so I will not be able to do live updates but should be able to provide really good recaps being there in person.

Lucky for us Michigan has a tough schedule as well. They finish the season against us and at Nebraska. Would be awesome as well if that make up game against MSU were to get rained out

They mentioned on the radio today that the game scheduled between those two teams later on in the year is not a conference game. Not sure how or why not.. but Murray was pretty certain on it.
