I'm confident we will beat up on Saturday and Sunday guy as we have first 2 weeks but key will be if we can get just enough against their Friday guy tonight to sweep which would be really nice as PSU has a really struggling offense. I actually think Wright St is better than Penn St based on the eye test so hopefully we have a good weekend.

I will provide updates Tonight and Sunday but busy tomorrow.

All normal cameras working this time so hopefully no broadcast issues. Milto in command in 1st with 2 ground outs and a strikeout. We go to bottom 1.

Gorski called out on Strike 3 on a full count on a borderline call at best that looked inside, Ashley strikes out swinging, Lloyd doubles of the right field wall right at the foul pole but Dunham hits a lazy fly ball to dead center to end it. Looks like another pitchers duel brewing as we go to 2nd.

First sign of pour fundamentalist as Barr throws a lazy ground ball to 3rd way high. Fortunately Lloyd climbed the latter and got it for the out but usually that would be a throwing error on what should be an easy play. After that an easy groundout to Lloyd and another ground ball to Barr who this time makes routine play to end it. To bottom 2.

Barr strikes out, Richardson strikes out on full count, Bradley single on line drive to right in front of fielder, than Houston for some reason tries a bunt with 2 outs which goes right to pitcher for 3rd out.

The good thing I will say is Milto being much more economical and PSU guy has had to throw a ton of pitches so far. This could come into play later as other than one guy PSU has a worse bullpen then IU even so thats something to watch. No score to third.

In 3rd PSU gets first hit on line drive to right that just found a hole, than strikeout, line drive through first base hole past diving Lloyd and runner goes to 3rd, than RBI double down left field line past diving Barr. I don't know what Milto threw there but had an 0-2 count and its inexcusable to throw anything near plate in that situation and its costs IU big time. However, he recovers for a strikeout and a routine groundout to Barr end it.

Nice job to work out of it and limit damage as that could of been far worse but still inexcusable to allow a double on an 0-2 pitch. 1-0 PSU to bottom 3.

Cross flies out to deep right, Gorski strikes out and then Ashley strikes out on another pitch that looked inside. IU has lost 2 walks on those pitches. Good thing for both Milto and IU hitters to remember that this ump giving the inside corner. 1-0 to top 4.

Barr again forces Lloyd to climb latter for out (although not as high as last time), double off center field wall that missed HR by inch, walk, strikeout and another strikeout.

Milto wiggling out of trouble but should not be getting into this much of jams against a bad PSU offense. IU's offense needs to wake up as its 1-0 to Bottom 4.

Lloyd hit on arm on first pitch of inning, Dunham lazy fly out to center, Barr strikes out and Lloyd thrown out trying to steal. That inning had promise until Dunham flew out on a 3-1 pitch. At some point we have to hit Friday Night pitchers if we want to have a successful season. 1-0 to 5th.

Strikeout, strikeout. than a bunt single Barr had no chance on but decided to throw over to Lloyd anyways and fortunately Lloyd saves another awful throw. Than IU gets really lucky as Cross tried to throw out the runner at 2nd trying to steal and ball got into outfield on awful throw. Fortunately runner tried to take 3rd and Gorski threw him out there with an absolute lazer.

A few poor fundamental decisions by one IU player being saved by another player. Better than making errors but don't want to make mistakes in first place. 1-0 to Bottom 5.

Richardson grounds out to 2nd on 'excuse me' swing, Bradley flies out to deep right, than a tip your hat catch on a diving catch in front of first base dugout by first baseman for 3rd out on foul ball.

To much swinging for fences again. 1-0 to 6th.

Strikeout, groundout to 2nd, walk, rbi single on line drive to center, then Dunham makes an amazing shoe string catch in left field to end inning and save 2 more runs.

Milto has started innings well but not finishing them off well but fortunately his defense bailing him out and its still 1-0 to Bottom 6.

strikeout by Cross, Gorski missed a HR by an inch to left on fly out, Ashley walks, Lloyd strikes out.

This game is reminding me of the 2nd game in Omaha when we went to college world series and lost to Mississippi St by 1 run and several balls that were crushed missed barely leaving the yard and we lost the game by that 1 run.

Also Bierman takes over for Milto in 7th.

Strikeout than HR into left field bullpen and now we are in real trouble down 2-0. Its kind of not fair that we have launched 3 shots that just missed and on their first hard swing it leaves yard but that's baseball.

Than a ground out and shallow fly out to right end it. We need our offense to wake up as we stretch.

fly out to left field track by Dunham than PSU goes to the bullpen to their one good reliever. He is amazing but if they need 2.2 innings from him to finish he will not be available tomorrow I am sure. Basically absent their only 2 good pitchers tomorrow I expect us to score like 10 runs in each of the next 2 games and win easily but got to fix these Friday night issues or this season will not end well.

First batter he faces Barr gets called out on a horrible bang bang call at first than easy ground out to first ends it. Umps have not helped us tonight but we are making our own demise with lack of hitting. No hits since 2nd and we go to 8th down 2-0.

walk, strikeout where third strike was a wild pitch so that walk was a good thing as 1st base was occupied meaning automatic out, flyout to left that is caught right at foul line followed by flyout on line drive to right field warning track and we go to Bottom 8 where its now or never.

Bradley hit by pitch, then Van Pelt pinch hits for Houston and grounds into fielders choice at 2nd, then Cross strikes out another borderline pitch this time on outside corner, before Gorski strikes out and we go to 9th.

PSU adds a run in 9th as Ashley boots a ball at 2nd for a 3rd run with runners at 1st and 3rd. Could of been even more but Dunham saved a couple more with a nice catch on warning track. Also third out made on a beautiful throw from Walker on a really tough play at short. Last chance.

IU falls 3-0.

Obviously our Friday night woes are continuing big time and have to be fixed. I fully expect us to easily win and put up tons of runs in next 2 games as we have every weekend. Scoring Friday night is tough but not this tough. Scoring 2-3 is normal against Friday aces but back to back shutouts with almost no hits is unacceptable. Tonight, we had 0 hits after 2nd inning and only 1 runner in scoring position all night.

PSU had some big wins early and this Friday night guy has been dominant. The difference is they usually lose like 3-2 or 4-3 not completely shut someone down. This is PSU's first Big Ten win but far from their first big win as they won a bunch in non conference.

IU has been feast or famine with this offense all year and Friday's have been famine. This needs to change if we want to be in contention for conference title and NCAA spot.
