NIT Quarterfinal Game Thread - IU vs. Wichita State | Tuesday @ 7:00PM on ESPN

Absolutely love what JuMo did for us this year, but whether it's high school, college or NBA ball -- it's all about 3-point shooting these days. Our only effective offense this season was pounding the ball down low to a 6-8 forward. That CANNOT be all you have. You have to hit 10-15 from distance in a game to be successful -- and we just couldn't do that. Most games, we'd struggle just to hit 5 or 6. Simple math tells you that when you're getting 2s and the other team is getting 3s, you're gonna lose. And these guys might not be good shooters, but I think they can be. ... Victor Oladipo couldn't throw the ball into the ocean his first two years and that summer between his sophomore and junior seasons, he worked his a$$ off and became a very good shooter. It can be done. We won't have any more success next season if we cannot hit from the outside. It's that simple.

Archie will be coaching for his job next year. If they miss the tournament he'll get the hot seat recruiting death sentence.

A trip to New York could of given a little excitement to the sesson but they lay an egg again. Next year looks rough again. Archie better figure this out fast.

I disagree. It’s been a huge issue as we have slept walked through multiple games while playing hard in others.  Effort has been very, very disappointing/inconsistent.

This.  Effort through the better part of 2 months sucked.  Just when we dug in our defense could be REALLY good.

I was conflicted anyway. Wanted my team to win, but also be put out of my misery that is this season. Never seen one like it.

Yep. No shooters next year and it will be the same result.

I’m a grad that has followed the team for decades and do not recall another year in which I frequently (or ever) thought “I hope they play hard tonight”. Just baffling/sickening. Hope it turns around next year.

Mercifully this year is over, though I admittedly would have kept watching.  I’m not going to name names, but I hope the Coach SS tweet the other day about no one transferring is wrong.  This team needs some serious roster turnover in my opinion.

Interesting look on Romeo’s face at the end of the game.....

Boy without any turnover the results will be the same. Zero shooters.
