I know this is the longest of shots but if things keep going the way they are he's looking like a late first round pick. Someone please sell this kid on a do over.

I was thinking the other day it was setting up to be a “I didn’t accomplish the things I wanted in my one year at IU so I’ll be returning for my sophomore year” type of thing. However, I don’t think you pass up top 10 pick money to return to IU unless you’re getting paid, similar to Bridges at MSU.

IU's record isn't going to have any impact on his draft stock. He's been in the lottery in nearly every mock draft done.

He is still top 10 everything ive seen.

There have been some articles put out that NBA scouts are starting to view him out of the lottery and not top 5 or 10 like the mock drafts put out by the media are showing. Rick Bozich I think even had an article that an NBA scout said he should come back for another year but that he won’t and he’ll enter the draft.

I’m not as confident he’s gone as everyone. His minor slide on draft boards coupled with the rumors that he’s been talking to TJD about a potential sophomore year make it seem somewhat realistic to me. If he were to stay and Keion were to decide on IU, lineup projections would be funnn.

Unless there’s a shift in attitude (see: some players looking for a different opportunity) and players leading then it won’t matter much. IF (for those hard at reading I’m not saying he’ll return) he does return we’ll be Uber talented but young and still lacking leadership. A grad transfer tha fits the culture could go a long way too.

Why would he get any better under another year of Archie?

Romeo's draft concerns have nothing to do with Archie and are all in his hands to fix.  The biggest thing that will hold him back is his shooting. It's tough to be a 2 guard with a bad jumper. The fact that he's a bad shooter is not on Archie. If I was Romeo, and I was a projected lottery pick, I would be gone for sure. If he came back and became a 40% 3 point shooter, he'd be a top 5 pick for sure. But if he doesn't improve his 3 point shooting, his fall next year will be much greater than his fall from the beginning of this season until now.

I don't think it matters if Romeo doesn't score a point the rest of the season -- or if he's projected as a lottery pick or the 28th pick or 48th pick. After a somewhat promising season has turned into a complete sh-t show -- especially if the stories about the locker room fracas are true -- he will want to get the hell outta dodge. I'd say the chances of him being in an IU uniform next year are 0.0 percent.

Which locker room stories are you referencing?

Check the OSU game thread. Rumors are rampant there about three players being involved in some sort of scuffle after yesterday's game. At this point, nobody seems to know if it's true or what players might be involved.
