(2021) G Luke Brown to Ball State

Recommended Posts

Brown finishes with 33 points and five assists. Shot 13-for-32 from field. Didn’t get much help tonight. Wabash is very good. Final: Wabash 75, Blackford 53.

No, Blackford is very bad.  Luke has no help whatsoever.  Southern Wells is bad and Blackford snuck by them.  Right now it is a one man show, albeit very good, but it very difficult to play 1 on 5.  My guess would be the Bruins are one and done come sectional time, and it won't be Luke's fault.

Unless they draw Muncie Burris or Yorktown but other than those two teams Blackford is screwed.

Brown named IBCA District 2 Player of the Week.

Brown scored even more, averaging 40.3 points and 5.0 assists in keying the Blackford boys (15-5) to a 2-1 week. The 6-1 guard racked up 54 points – one off his career high – plus two rebounds, six assists and six steals in a 93-59 victory over Daleville. He followed with 34 points, seven rebounds, five assists and four steals in a 65-59 triumph over Southern Wells, then produced 33 points, six rebounds, four assists and two steals in a 75-53 setback to Wabash.

Over three games, Brown sank 42-of-86 shots, including 8-of-30 3-pointers, and 29-of-31 free throws. In the 54-point outburst, he was 20-of-24, 5-of-14 and 9-of-10. Brown’s career-high game was 55 points earlier this season on Dec. 14 against Elwood.
