  • The Hoosiers are fresh off a 70-60 win over Michigan on Thursday night at home. They were led by sophomore guard Jaelynn Pennwho set a new career-high 28 points by going 6-for-7 from the 3-point line. Redshirt junior forward Brenna Wise added 12 points in the win.
  • Penn has scored in double figures in the last eight games, upping her season average to 13.7 points per game this season. Her career-high on Thursday night was the seventh 20-plus point scoring game of her career.
  • With the conference in a tight race to start the season, IU sits just a game behind Maryland, Iowa and Purdue who are all tied for second. IU also begins a two-game stretch facing ranked opponents against No. 11/10 Maryland and at No. 14/18 Rutgers on Thursday.
  • Indiana celebrates both National Girls and Women in Sports Day along with Alumni Day on Sunday. A family festival will take place in the south lobby beginning at 10:30 a.m. when doors open. A group of 15 Indiana Women's Basketball alumni are set to return as well.

I think too many fouls are called just about every single time I watch an iuwbb game in assembly. Breaks up momentum constantly. Whether they are in our favor or not imo.
