Jimmy Rayl was a Hoosier legend. Won Mr. Basketball out of Kokomo and could shoot from anywhere in the gym. He almost averaged 30 a game his junior year in Bloomington. Still holds the all time single game scoring record at IU with 56... and he actually did it twice. RIP

Lived about 5 minutes away from me, I delivered mail to his house on multiple occasions. My grandpa was friends with him, and my dad witnessed him shooting in his backyard in his mid-late 40's and he said he was still draining shots like they were nothing. To think that he accomplished all that he did without a 3 point line is unreal.
