I didn't realize A.J. was 4th. He was one of my all-time favorites. So smooth.

Me too. AJ was a scoring machine.

Also, this shows how the early 90's were LOADED with great players. Not exactly a newsflash, but 6 of the top 14 all-time scorers overlapped during the 90-95 timeframe, plus so many other really solid contributors. Badly want IU to get back to that level, where the #4 option is still a stud and the bench is full of ballers too.

True about the 90's. That's also when the 3 pt shot started being utilized more. Unfortunately for some of the guys on the list they didn't have that opportunity although they would've have lit it up from there if it were an option.

No doubt- Alford with 3 more years of 3pt! or Whitman? I know there were others, but that is about as far back as my frame of reference goes.

Never ever would have expected to see Verdell Jones that high on the list.  Just never considered him as a high scorer.
He really was just about their only option for a couple of years. So he's on there because of volume? A lot of people ripped on him (myself included) but I always wondered what he may have been on a team with talent. He actually played pretty well on the 11-12 team if I recall correctly.

Verdell was in the top ten in assists as well, but he fell out as Yogi climbed the charts.  He should still be sitting at number eleven in assists.

It was interesting to see some of the few players in the top ten or 15 in multiple categories.  To name a couple...my numbers might be slightly off...and I couldn't find blocks and steals lists...but for instance, Chris Reynolds was 8th in steals and 12th in assists...and DJ White was top 15 rebs and number 3 in blocks.

Don Schlundt - 3rd in pts and 7th in rebs

AJ Guyton - 4th in scoring and 8th in assists

Yogi Ferrell - 6th in pts and 1st in assists

Alan Henderson - 7th in pts, 1st in rebs, and 4th in steals (surprisingly)

Damon Bailey - 8th in pts and 6th in assists

Kent Benson - 9th in pts and 3rd in rebs

Christian Watford - 10th in pts and 9th in rebs

Mike Woodson - 5th in pts and 5th in steals

Tom Coverdale - 3rd in assists and 6th in steals

Imagine Don Schlundt with longer games (didn't they use to have shorter games), a three-point line, the addition of a shot clock, etc.

That man must have been ridiculous for his time.

If I counted correctly, JuMo has scored 190 points this season in 11 games. It’s not out of the question that he can score 400-450 more points this season with 20+ games left. That would put him near Kirk Hastons and the bunch...

Assuming we win 1 postseason game a year Phinisee is already on pace to top us on steals fwiw

I saw you posted this elsewhere earlier.  Thanks.  I imagine he will only get better in assists and steals as he matures too.

Yep, my theoretical post of him landing in top 25 was if he kept on pace of around 17ppg and didn't account for any BigTenTourney or NCAA tourney games.  So, I would think they can at least expect 22 more games (20 more this season, 1 Big Ten tourney game, and 1 NCAA tourney game), which figuring a 17ppg average with those two additional games alone would put him only a few points from surpassing Jimmy Rayl at #23 and a few more on top of that to pass Kirk Haston.  If they win only one game in either tournament and he keeps that average he'll be knocking on Robert Johnson's #21 slot.

Christian Watford 10th all time in scoring... what. That 2013 team was so loaded.

Agreed.  I thought the same thing when I began to look at it.  If I remember now, though, they had mentioned they had several players on that roster reach the 1,000 point mark and several on pace to reach that mark.

I can't seem to find any statistics much past top ten in rebounds, but if Juwan's average this year continues then he'll be over 700 rebounds for his career before Big Ten Tournament as well.  That would surely put him in the top 25 range in rebounds as well, with Brian Evans at number 10 with 750.

And a shout out to the late Eric Anderson is in order...number 8 in rebounds and number 11 in scoring.  I left him off this short list by accident.
