Indiana vs Butler Game Thread 12/15

Recommended Posts

Rewatching the game this morning will treadmilling it.

Notes- 1st half.

Juwan hit nearly every key basket to keep us in it.

Rob was getting outplayed by Baldwin on both ends of the court. It wasn’t close. Watch again if you don’t believe me.

Butler was anticipating our starting action in the half court. They were stealing and tipping passes because they knew what we were doing.

Part of our slow starts could be our guys inefficient running of the offense Archie wants to run and opposing teams scouting it well.

Had several plays where Romeo and Green didn’t hustle back in transition leading to I believe 3 baskets.

Juwan was almost a 1 man band until Romeo got a little offense going towards the end.

Fitzner was playing great position on D but doesn’t have the hands or athleticism to make the plays he put himself in position to make.

Archie moved Phin off Baldwin and put Smith, Green, and McBob on Baldwin first part of second half.

McDermott started killing us then.

I know Phin ended up back on Baldwin at the end. I thought he did well guarding him last few possessions but Baldwin got where he wanted.

Interesting.

What a game!

Baldwin was 7-19 from the floor with only one free throw - we must've been doing something right against him!
