I think this is the game Penix FINALLY becomes our permanent starter. He opens up the field so much bc the defense has to respect the long ball now and can't just crowd the box like with Ramsey.

Ramsey was 2-4 for 29 yards. Penix is 4-13 for 36 yards and he's shown zilch for touch.  Far from a revelation, actually pretty bad.

Penix is now 4-13

Penix has had solid drives and the only ones that stalled were on bogus holding calls and a no-call DPI. Penix spreads the field out bc of the deep threat and it allows our RBs more room to run since the box isn't crowded. Don't know how you could say Ramsey is better unless your his dad. There's a reason Penix was recruited by SEC schools and Ramsey MAC schools...and us. Ramsey's isn't and wasn't the answer against the big boys.

I don’t care how deep of a threat can a guy be who only averages 9 yards per completion. Going 4-13 to boot

That was a good non-call because it was a terrible throw.  If the DB turned his head he would've had a better chance at catching it then the receiver did.
