Women's Soccer vs Purdue

Recommended Posts

WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. – Indiana Women's Soccer fell to Purdue on Saturday night in the Golden Boot game in double overtime, 1-0. The game-winner for the Boilermakers came on a penalty kick in the 105thminute.

KEY MOMENTS
• One of IU's best offensive chances came as time was winding down in the first half. After redshirt senior Mykayla Brown drew a foul just outside the box, junior Meghan Scott had a fantastic look in on the service. It was saved as Purdue goalkeeper Katie Luce tipped it out of bounds.
• Sophomore goalkeeper Bethany Kopel's biggest save of the night came in the 88th minute as Ally Mussallem brought the ball down on a breakaway. She looked to take Kopel on 1v1 but the goalkeeper was there for the stop. The rebound fell to Hannah Mussallem, but Kopel once again made the save.
• After Purdue brought the ball wide to the left of the goal in the 105thminute, a service in hit the hand of a Hoosier as the handball was called inside the box. The resulting penalty kick was converted by Purdue's Sarah Clark to win the game for the Boilermakers.
