With no way to watch or stream I definitely plan on heading to Evansville for game if weather holds off. Expect an easy win if we play our game as Evansville is the weakest opponent we have on the schedule.

According to the Evansville Athletics website people can trade in their IU shirt for an Evansville shirt which is about the dumbest thing I have ever heard. Either you are coming to root for IU and will wear Red and don't want an Evansville shirt or you are going to come in an Evansville shirt as you are a fan of their team. No one is going to suddenly become an Evansville fan and trade an IU shirt in.

This proves though we are playing in the other teams Super Bowl again (even if this is the most illogical promotion on the planet) and need to be ready. Given the vast different in talent though even if Evansville brings their "A" game as long as we bring our "B" game we win easily.

Greetings from E-Vile. A decent no. of iu fans (same as ND) but a lot more evansville fans who clearly unlike ND feels its their Super Bowl. That said play our game and they stand no chance and most of crowd will go home unhappy. Not surprisingly though everyone showed up in shirt they wanted and no one traded in an IU shirt for an Eville shirt.

PA guy still think IU is coached by Jerry Yeagley.

Well that was certainly coming. A good chance on a set piece on a mehl header sent in by Schwartz that hits post but than Dorsey's speed got em. A free ball from mid with Dorsey racing 2 defenders. Goalie came out making Dorsey unable to shoot but  dribbled around him to the left side and sent a cross into box that Gutman headed in in a crowd. Iu dominating game and possesion so far as expected.

Another 2 goals! Cross sent into box from right side that goalie tips away but only as far as mid box and Panchot easily kicks it back in. Than Rennicks dribbles and goes by several Evansville defenders down left side and slots its home under goalie.

Route on as second goal unparks E-Ville's bus and now plenty of open space. Were also emptying bench as rarely used Ian Black in.

This ones over at halftime. As weird as it sounds this again proves we're playing 'Jerry Yeagley Soccer' last 2 yrs (and according to their PA guy hes our coach again so maybe that explains it).

In all seriousness we have dominated E-Ville in past and won every game since 1990 but have had a lot of 2-0 ish games against them recently and this level of opponent. Now last couple yrs we are getting these to 4-0 and up games against low level teams and scoring at much better clip which is what we did in Jerry days and getting teams buses unparked early.

Shots actually just 7-6 IU but only one of those was really dangerous and D not at best but does not need to be.

The difference between Butler and Evansville's 'Super Bowls' is Butler is just good enough to hang in there and get crowd involved and make an electric atmosphere. E-Ville is out of it so early their fans stay quiet and you only hear ours. Think of it as the difference between a tight home IU Mich football game and getting blown out by OSU at home regardless of how much our crowd is motivated (and crowd ratio works great as well for these scenario's.)

Since game ends early and I am only going as far as Btown to be with family and have just 1.75 hr drive (thanks  I-69) i'll post recap immediately after.

I will not post as we go in second half as we (presumably) add more goals. See you guys after.

We understandably got board in the second half but did overpower them once midway through the half when Gutman dribbled through the entire D down middle of field passed it out to a wide open streaking Dorsey on right who slotted it in easily.

We played guys like Bannec and Black throughout second half who rarely see field and basically went through motions.

We did exactly what we were suppose to and thats about all I have to say.

Onto NW who is less inferior but still inferior and as long as we can get through there parked bus early as we have been we should win 2 or 3 to 0.
