His AAU stats aren't going to "wow" you but keep in mind, this is a kid who's only going into his sophomore season of HS ball.  Since I started tracking these things, there's a few juniors to be that play "up", but I don't recall very many sophomores playing at the elite level.

Pat Lawless - Terrence Clarke separates himself at Hoop Group FAA Camp - Talks recent offers and more.

Class of 2021 prospect Terrence Clarke finished off his summer on a high note by standing out at the Hoop Group Future All-American Camp. As a freshman, Clarke played 17u on the Nike EYBL circuit for Expressions Elite so it was interesting to see him play with his age group once again. To no one’s surprise Clarke separated himself and won the Most Valuable Player award at camp. He used this event to try different things and expand his game.

“I’m working on all of my game right now,” he said. “I’m trying to be an all-around player by playing hard on both ends. Right now that’s really what I’ve been working on. I’m really working on the defensive end and getting myself better to be a high level prospect.”

Clarke is often looked upon as a wing prospect, but the rising sophomore wants to be known as someone on the ball.

“I would say that I’m a big point guard or two guard that can be a playmaker, scorer and has the ability to do everything on the court,” Clarke said. “I’m just working on rebounding a lot more, but I can do a lot on the court to help my team win.”

After performing at a high level in July, Clarke added seven high major offers.

“Recently Indiana, Rutgers, Boston College, Syracuse, Georgetown, Saint Louis, Iowa and a couple more schools,” Clarke said. “I’m happy for it, but I’m really working toward getting better.”

These new offers show him that his hard work is paying off, but he is far from satisfied.

“It’s kind of showing that I’m working hard right now,” he said. “It’s a good thing for me and I’m working out every day. I’m working toward getting offers and getting better. Getting the offers are cool and all, but I’m just working toward getting better every day.”

Three schools have jumped into the picture for him and are showing heavy interest.

“Michigan, Michigan State, Memphis and some other schools have been in to watch me play,” said Clarke.

Clarke doesn’t have planned unofficial visits, but could visit some local programs in the near future.

“I don’t have any planned as of right now, but I could visit some of the schools that are close to me,” he said. “I definitely will visit them soon, but there’s not an exact date yet.”

When asked who he looks to model his game after, two current players at Duke came to mind.

“After playing Cameron Reddish I kind of looked at his game a lot more,” said Clarke. “I’ve tried to see what he can do and breaking down his game to see what I can work on. I look at R.J. Barrett as well.”

When the number one player in the country wears a “Nike Runs This” shirt to a known Adidas school, that might a be a hurdle to overcome.

Or foreshadowing IU's move to a Nike school in 2030?

It doesn't matter the stage it's good to get top prospects on campus early. He might get the same feel many of us did the first time we stepped on campus.
