Class of '66 Old Fart

(2019) CG - Anthony Harris to North Carolina

Recommended Posts

4-star rated Anthony Harris is reported as 6'3" 180 lbs. and is from Fairfax, VA, and attends Paul VI Catholic High School.  Described as a PG or CG depending whose site you look at.  Plays for Team Takeover on the Nike EYBL circuit, Harris has been a key player on a 16-0 team.  He averaged 8.3 points and hit 54 percent of his threes (13 of 24).  He is known for playing hard on both ends of the floor and being a team leader.  During his high school season, Harris was quoted as saying that his perimeter shot was an area of emphasis for future improvement.  If his performance on the EYBL is any indication, he is making nice progress there.  Harris holds approximately 15 offers, with Virginia Tech, Florida State, Louisville, Georgia, Maryland and Wake Forest viewed as the leaders.

For whatever reason, Harris' name appears in only 14 of his AAU team's 16 box scores.

Yeah but we keep offering new ones likes we arent confident we can get the others. Idk just a feeling.

Harris was on the radar during the April live periods. He was on the list of prospects to track when I went to Westfield. CAM and staff have said they want to get to know these kids and family before they offer. While on the outside it might look like they are just offering new ones out of not being confident, in my opinion they still have structured plan in recruiting that they are following. Guards are a big priority in 2019 and hopefully they get a good one

Looks like this is the guard we are pursuing the most. Harris said, "Miami, Indiana, Wake Forest and Virginia Tech are the schools standing out the most in his recruitment right now."

Keep in mind Oladipo played for this AAU team and constantly goes to their games. And he noted a possible visit during Hoosier Hysteria.

He cant sell playing time.

Look at the 4 teams that Harris is visiting.

4 teams with not much in the backcourt. He probably starts right away. At IU, he probably wont. That's just the way it is.

My thoughts as well.
