Per IU twitter Lloyd HR went over a 452 foot sign onto an apartment building roof. I kind of lost sight of it since it was so high and far but not sure I've seen one hit so far by an IU player since Schwarber did it many times. San Diego announcer mentioned longest he has seen since Kris Bryant was there. That's pretty elite company were talking.

5-1 IU after a 2 run RBI single by Gorski on a bloop to center with bases loaded in 5th!

Oh wow... great play by their 2B. 6-1 Hoosiers

IU makes it 6-1 on a beautifully executed double steal. Gorski tried to steal 2nd but didn't make it in time so got himself in a rundown so runner from 3rd could score. San Diego came home with the throw to late and Gorski ended up getting 2nd after. Perfectly executed. 

Halfway home as Eaton takes over for Beauchamp.

Bottom of 8.. 8-2 IU, 1 out, bases loaded. Herrin on the mound.

We gave them 2 back in 8th on back to back ridiculous errors to open inning on what should of been easy ground outs. We did minimize much worse damage as bases were loaded with 0 outs but we got a pop up and a ground out where we threw runner out at home.  Than a wild pitch plated a run and an RBI single before a ground out ended it. That was mostly on the defense but bad things always seem to happen when Herrin pitches as he did that inning.

To the 9th we go.

Very impressive. Took 3 of 4 on the road against a very good team. 

Outscoured then by 10 runs over 4 games.

IU wins 8-4! Lloyd an easy 1-2-3 9th. We made 5 errors today which needs to be cleaned up as you cannot win to much doing that. Overall I was just hoping for a split this weekend but we got 3 of 4 against a quality team which will loom huge for our resume. Right now we have an RPI of 4 but that will probably move down no matter what even if we win as coming up as we play bad teams. However, we now have 5 very quality wins to open season (South Alabama, Coastal and 3 versus San Diego) on road and neutral sites and are 9-2. If we can get to 40 wins or so we could easily keep RPI at or near top 20 with chance to host regional as a 1 seed.

Great start to season overall! Lets keep it up.

We'd probably have to win the league and the tourney... would need a split vs. UL and Kentucky.

Awesome! Home opener on Wednesday @ 3 pm vs Cincinnati and then a 3 game series vs Pacific.
