The Hoosiers are playing one of the toughest schedules in the nation, which is currently the sixth in Division I. They have faced six ranked opponents this season, including four of their first seven games against ranked teams of which they met three of those on the road. It's the second-hardest schedule in the Big Ten, behind Ohio State who is third.

PENN PUTS UP POINTS
Freshman guard Jaelynn Penn has found an offensive spark as she has posted double figures in four of the last five games. During that stretch, she's shooting 52.9 percent from the 3-point line, 50 percent from the floor and 87.5 percent from the free throw line. She has posted nine games in double digits this season and is averaging 10.1 points and 4.9 rebounds in her freshman season. She ranks fifth in points per game amongst all Big Ten freshmen, third in steals (1.1), sixth in rebounding and seventh in assists (2.2)

STEALING ANOTHER RECORD
Senior guard Tyra Buss set her fourth school record on Jan. 27 as she picked up three steals on her way to the all-time steals record. She surpassed Kim Roberson's (2006-09) 259 steals and now has record 261 career swipes.

MORE RECORDS TO BREAK
With records set in points scored, free throws made, free throws attempted, and steals, Buss will set her sights on the assist records at Indiana. Currently, Buss ranks second in assists (508) behind Tisha Hill's 533 career dishes. Buss is also registering on the all-time 3-pointers made list, coming in tied for fifth (172).

CAHILL MAKES HER MARK
Senior Amanda Cahill set for another career milestone against Wisconsin on Jan. 24, as she grabbed her 1,000th rebound. She became the third player to record 1,000 rebounds along with Denise Jackson (1,273) and Whitney Thomas (1,090) to reach the career milestone. She's just the second-ever player to record over 1,600 points and 1,000 rebounds. She ranks seventh all-time in scoring (1,653), third all-time in rebounds (1,009), third in all-time double-doubles (37) and seventh in blocks (108).

KYM'S IMPROVEMENT
Junior forward Kym Royster's play this season is one of the best improvements of any player in the Big Ten. The Newark, Ohio native is averaging 10.7 points per contest and has scored in double figures in 13 games this season including back-to-back games against Purdue and Michigan. Her +6.6 points per game this season is one of the best improvements in the Big Ten, ranking fourth among all returning players. She's also adding +3.7 rebounds from a season ago, averaging the team's second-best mark in 6.3 boards per game.

BUSS SETS SCORING RECORD
Senior guard Tyra Buss set another career milestone on Jan. 20 at Michigan State when she became the first Indiana Women's Basketball player to score 2,000 points. Buss is one of six players (men's or women's) at Indiana to score 2,000 points and has now recorded 2,059 points. Buss broke the record for points scored on Jan. 3 at Penn State. She eclipsed former record holder Denise Jackson's 1,917 points set in 1983-84 with her game-high 27 points against the Lady Lions. Currently, Buss is eighth among all active scorers in the nation.

Has anyone ever noticed that most of the charges buss draws her feet are moving and she is out of position? Not complaining but those are blocking calls against any other player. I don't think we are playing that well compared to the last few games but we are holding on to a decent lead

This team is very comparable to FCTC teams. A chance to ice the game with a solid possession and score yet we turn it over and give up a three. Big lead and the other team claws back. An opponent is going off and nobody steps up to stop her. Too much talent to be this bad.

Well, the ladies managed to pull it out 78-73.  Buss with 31 pts; Royster and Cahill each with 17.  Penn and Cahill each with 6 reb.; Yeaney with 5.  43% from the field; 26% on 3's.  NU shot 53% and 41% respectively.  IU out-rebounded 34-29 by NU.  But it's a win.
