Yeah, I have lived among UM fans the majority of my adult life and I will say they’re largely a knowledgeable, reasonable fan base. Any group of a certain size is going to have some outliers.

I’ve seen a few reports saying he wants to cut his list to 10 soon. I don’t see it being before Romeo at all

I am not sure why people are worried about adding Carton with Rob Phinisee. Many elite teams have two guards that can be primarily ball handlers. Just bc we have had at most only 1 the last 10 years shouldn’t mean that’s what we should expect.

 

Kansas two years ago had Frank Mason and Devonte Graham, both smaller guards, work great together. Then this year Graham took over the reigns and there was no drop off. 

 

In Archie’s last two years at Dayton when they had really good teams, they had Scoochie Smith and Kyle Davis playing alongside each other. Maybe that is the way Archie would prefer to play.

I lived in Michigan and Ohio briefly. I can tell you that out of all fan bases I've encountered over my time I have a lot of respect for both UM and MSU fans. They are not arrogant with ignorance like a lot of others I've come across. They win and lose with class while also showing respect for their opponents. I can also say that OSU might have the worst fan base in all of college sports and yes I know that is saying something given a couple of others out there.

I gotta say I have had different experiences with the various games I have been to. MSU fans were the most combative and obnoxious fans I have encountered and I have been to quite a few UK games. UM fans weren’t much better but to me MSU fans were horrible during games.

My buddy who is friends with his High School Coach has relayed that Carton has been pretty tight lipped about the schools he’s interested in, but if they had to bet right now it would be on Michigan.

Because Carton isn’t a slam dunk to commit to us. Definitely need to build more relationships and soon, especially if he commits elsewhere.

I like our chances against those other 3. Archie has Indiana recruiting at a very high level now; kinda what we all envision it should be. Blue blood level.

BETWEEN THEM  they have been stuck on Indiana with Branch McCracken for 29 years. They haven't even begun to break into Indiana with Bob Knight territory, and we are headed back!
