Corruption in College Basketball

Nike will be dragged into it soon enough. The FBI doesn’t have the same self-interest to turn away from evidence. Their financial crime task force is probably giddy with excitement over the opportunity to uncover such massive and elaborate fraud. Busting scumbag stockbrokers and politicians gets old after a while I’m sure.

Guys the fall guys are doing their job.  The guy is denying the schools knew anything about it

The "schools" may not have but it does say... agreed to make a $40,000 payment to an unnamed NC State coach, who would then deliver it to the player's parent,

News:  A document filed in federal court today shows a superseding indictment is coming in US vs Chuck Person and Rashan Michel in next 30 days. This is according to a letter filed by Michel's lawyer. That means this case will be advanced in the next month.

So our legal beagles need to tell us everyday folks what this means.

To my limited knowledge, not a legal professional or expert, it means their indictment is being replaced with another one.

Yes; that's the bottom line.

It means that an existing indictment is being replaced, with an alteration of charges against the same defendants. This is usually not a sea change event, even if a new charge is added or dropped; largely because the federal sentencing guidelines are all but wholly independent of how many counts are charged. So, if a count or two is added or dropped, it will not likely effect the potential punishment.

...This means that the government could be adding new information to the original indictment. It will also likely “further clarify its theory of wire fraud,” which the government had stated it intended to do in a recent filing.

“It’s a fair assumption that the government is likely to add facts and/or new allegations that are either responsive to defendants’ effort to dismiss the case and/or newly discovered allegations or both,” said Stephen L. Hill, a partner at the Kansas City branch of the global law firm, Dentons, and a former federal prosecutor.

Turdeon even looks desperate when he's coaching. He cheats and he still sucks.

NY2LA striking back with links to past NCAA corruption with the tongue-in-cheek caption --  Always remember AAU/Grassroots is the root of all problems in basketball - there’s never been any issues of problems before it existed.

Fun reading if you're bored and just need something to do.  Shockingly, pUKe is involved on one more than one occasion.
