Isn't Troy in the D League?

He was called up by the Rockets for the last couple of the weeks of the season and he's on the playoff roster.  He did go back to D-League for the championship game but I believe it was just for that one game.

Troy's game is much better suited for the NBA than Bryant's is. Troy always had the athleticism and physical characteristics you need for the NBA, he just needed to develop the basketball abilities. Bryant needs to develop both.

Agreed troy is way better suited for the NBA. Maybe bryant Bryant will prove me wrong but he has a long way to go.

This is the best thing for the program considering this year wasn't looking like the year anyways. Give the bigs plenty of playing time this year and development. Bring in Garland or Langford for '18 and that's gonna be one hell of a squad.

I think we will be just fine. We have a good coach and return talent. A 22-10 type record could be possible.

This is where I am on the issue.  While you certainly don't want a mass exodus of players when a coaching change is made, just because the existing players are talented doesn't mean they are a good fit for the new system.  Bryant has definite flaws and strengths and he's the one guy that could possibly retard the transition to CAM's style the most.

Like "O" said, get the young guys some experience so they can improve and become proficient in playing the way Archie wants his team to - this should be the best thing for us long term.

He should go 2nd round. Just another guy to use in 2K. EJ, Zeller, Oladipo, Vonleh, Williams, Yogi. Now Bryant, OG and probably JBJ.

Indeed.  Looking forward to doing the exact same thing.  Who's EJ though?  Do you mean EG?

Ahhh... it's the annual "Let's be salty a player left IU early to make money" thread.

I don't think anyone is really that salty about it, we just don't think it's a good decision.

I'm hopeful he gets paid, improves his game, and has a long productive career in the NBA.  And I'll root for him.

But he's going to get his @$$ kicked.

Uggghh.  And this is what is wrong with the system right now.  The people paying outrageous prices for NBA tickets, apparel, parking, and food in and around arenas are the ones fitting the bill for guys like Bryant to improve his game while riding a bench or even playing D-League games.

Call me old school but the NBA was a much better product when these kids developed their game at the college level and came to the NBA more seasoned and ready to play.

At any rate, I certainly do wish TB well and sincerely appreciate the energy and enthusiasm he brought to the floor. That's a big loss for this squad, but I do understand the rationale and I know it does help our current "overage" situation as well.

Oh yes.. all those aged people... funny thing is, the NBA has never had a deeper And or talented pool of players in its existence. Also, the greatest player to play the game... came straight out of high school.

I don't spend one dime on the NBA. I'd rather watch college bbal reruns instead
