(2019) PF Trayce Jackson-Davis to INDIANA

Recommended Posts

The MSU/IU connection is interesting.

TJD is friends with many top Indiana players including Aaron Henry. Henry is recruiting him to MSU. Phinisee appears to be recruiting him to IU.

Then there is Keion Brooks. Going to be some recruiting battles.

That's a good question. It really might all depend on Romeo

I agree. I also think if we don't get Romeo or Garland (I really think we get one of them) then the open scholarship should be banked or used for grad transfer big.

Here's how I view it. If Romeo is a one and done, four man class happens. If he stays two years, three man class happens. And believe me, I would take a sophomore Romeo over a freshman Matthew Hurt

But if it's a three man class, I think TJD, Brooks and Watford is the best scenario. If somehow a four man class, then Hurt would be included as well

That would be an extraordinary class, but the BEST scenario?

For players legitimately on our radar, the best class would include Matthew Hurt and Cole Anthony.

As good as the others we are recruiting are (and they are very, very good) those two seem to be a small cut above.

If we don't get Garland. My dream class if 3.

1. Anthony
2. Brooks/Watford
3. Hurt/TJD

We do get Garland and not 1 and done.

1. Brooks
2. Watford
3. Hurt/TJD

I just don't think Cole Anthony ends up at IU. And Matthew Hurt is really good. But I would sacrifice him if Romeo wanted to stay two years

I agree that IU would probably need a PG in 2019 if no Garland in 2018. But I really think Archie is gonna get them both. I have a lot of faith in our coach

Summary of the Rabjohns TJD visit recap

  • Impressed by the fans and their recognition of recruits
  • Impressed by current players willingness to interact with recruits; "family atmosphere"
  • IU, Purdue, MSU, Iowa main schools right now
  • Visiting Ohio State next week, but mainly for the big game vs. Penn State. Not a basketball visit; that should be last visit before high school season starts
