Every time I see his monster stat lines, I think about how frustrating it must be for the kids he's playing against.

That's not what I think. It's more like.......pick IU....pick IU.......pick IU..........probably not picking IU.......pick IU........pick IU

Something like that.

John Marshall defeated Mankato East 64-40.  JM is ranked No. 7 in the state in Class AAAA, ran its winning streak to eight straight games.  Hurt with 33 pts, 21 reb. and 9 blks. (and reportedly ran the concession stand at halftime)!

This kid is ready for college ball. I have to wonder if he reclasses to 2018. That would help us I think since Duke is already loaded up on talent in that class.

John Marshall has halted Owatonna's long winning streak in boys basketball.

The Huskies came to Rochester on Saturday night having won 14 straight games. But the Rockets, ranked No. 6 in the state in Class AAAA, opened up a 31-17 lead at the half and cruised to a 62-46 victory.

Matthew Hurt, JM's standout 6-foot-9 junior, poured in 30 points and pulled down 19 rebounds to spark the Rockets. Hurt entered the game averaging just under 35 points a game.

2019 F Matthew Hurt (IU offer) broke the Rochester (MN) scoring record, has 2,691 career points. Hurt 37 points, 20 rebs tonight in a 67-59 section semi win.

Only a Junior. He may break 4,000 points next year. Impressive!
