Friday's games from the Adidas Gauntlet event in Dallas, TX.  Couple of teams did not have games scheduled for the first night.  Also for whatever reason, not all of the teams posted player details for assists, TO's, stls., blks.

Final note.  Really great that Phinisee, Hunter and Langford are on the Adidas circuit.  CAM can just camp out for the weekend at their event.

Friday game on the Under Armour circuit.  Couldn't find a box score but the following is a recap of Sid Wilson (New Heights) vs. Kevin Easley (G3 Grind).  These are the only 2 kids I have in my notes playing on the UA circuit.

The New York City New Heights carved out a 71-66 win on Friday evening, using a hot start to carry them all the way through to victory.

New Heights had control on both sides of the ball for most of the first half, holding G3 without a field goal for the first four minutes. Sidney Wilson led the charge with six points and a pair of rebounds as New Heights jumped out to a 13-5 lead with just over three minutes to play in the first.

Moses Brown began the second with a trio of makes from close range to push New Heights’ lead to 11 early on. After a quiet first quarter, Brown exploded for eight points in the second frame to complement Sidney Wilson’s team-leading 15 points and eight rebounds through two.

G3 wouldn’t quit though, maintaining a sizable rebounding margin through most of the first half to stay within striking distance. Kevin Easley pulled down eight boards in the first half G3 was able to get back to within seven as the second half began.

Both offenses got hot to start the second half, shooting a combined 4-for-6 to start, but it was G3’s defense that allowed them to climb back into the game. They forced back-to-back New Heights turnovers with just over two minutes to go, then forced a shot clock violation a minute later to keep the deficit at three in the closing minutes of the quarter.

A New Heights shot clock violation followed by Courvoisier Mccauley’s and-one with less than a minute to go in the third tied the game at 55 and set up a dramatic fourth quarter. That’s when Wilson took over, giving New Heights a six-point lead after he made a jumper through contact, drew a foul and made the layup. He finished with a team-high 24 points and 14 rebounds.

“I was just trying to be a leader on the court to help my team get the W,” Wilson said. “They played a little harder than us today, but towards the end of the game I did what I had to do to help my team win.”

G3 had a chance to carve out a win, but did not make a bucket for the last 2:17 of the contest.

Gonna need to work outside for a big. There's nothing in '18,  '19 PF Sydney Curry and '20 C Mabor Majak are the only two in-state names out there right now and I don't know much about them yet other then Majak is #1 according to some sources.

@coreyevans_10: James Wiseman winning the battle early on against Jontay Porter. Special 2019 big man with shades of Chris Bosh to his game

Musa Jallow participating in the NY2LA event in the Lone Star Invitational.

MUSA JALLOW – 2018 – G/F – TEAM BLAZE SELECT

Jallow showed his athleticism and a strong feel for the game, though his numbers weren’t flashy Friday night. He plays with good strength and control both driving from the perimeter or when catching around the block and he finished a couple plays through some traffic at the rim. He also showed a nice mid-range turnaround jumper. He finished with 11 points and sank 5 free throws in the game as well. Jallow currently has offers from Indiana, Purdue, Butler, Virginia, Stanford, Northwestern, Virginia Tech and Toledo, as well as receiving interest from Oregon.

When CAM did his Indy swing he stopped by center grove. Trayce Jackson-Davis could be a big that he ends up going after in state. Purdue has offered already. 6'8 and growing and u hope he can be as big as his dad Dale Davis. We will know more about him in his upcoming junior year. I will be watching many more home games this year
