Rough first inning for Saalfrank.  Hit 2 batters and got out of a bases loaded situation only giving up the 1 run.  But we got that run back in the bottom of the 1st on a solo shot by Dedelow.

And 1 inning is all Saalfrank gets as Cameron Beauchamp starts the 2nd on the mound.

Well, we picked up 2 hits and had runners on 2nd and 3rd in the 8th but couldn't score.  End of 8 and score is still 7-1.  We haven't even been making contact with our bats as many of our outs have been via strikeout.

Next up is a 3-game weekend home series with Nebraska.  Friday game at 7:05; Sat. at 2:05 and Sun. at 12:05.

Final score 7-3.  Miler with a 2-run homer in the bottom of the 9th to make the score a little more palatable.  ISU pitching was just too much for our Hoosiers.  Beauchamp takes the loss in second inning relief of Saalfrank who hit 2 batters and bounced balls to the plate in his one inning on the mound.  Re-group for the weekend series.

We got our second victory in a row with a 2-0 win over ISU.  Saalfrank with 2 strong innings of relief in the 6th and 7th and Foote took care of the 8th and 9th.  Beauchamp got the W.  Hoosiers only managed 5 hits but made them count scoring both runs in the top of the 5th.  Next up is a 3-game Easter weekend home stand against Minnesota.

Looks like the anemic batting woes continue. At least they got the W!

I know there has been discussion about Lemonis and maybe that's valid but at the same time he can't get them hits.

At least tonight our bullpen didn't let us down.
