Thats crazy...so really since 1924 we only had like 11...thats not that bad i guess...18 in 23 yrs.  Ouch!

Pure speculation on my part, but way back then, the coaches could have mostly been of a volunteer nature.

If take out the interim coach while Coach Branch McCracken was serving in WW2 thats 1 less.
