I somehow managed to get away for a couple of hours and was at home construction site.  One of the workers was off to the side, looking at his phone and all I could think was "I wonder if he's an IU fan, or better yet one of the insiders". LOL

If we haven't heard by now there is no press conference today.  Still think Donovan is our guy, but word will leak a lot louder and further in advance of his real press conference.

Darn it people, I'm trying not to get my hopes up on Donovan.  Things like that tweet saying the conference is good doesn't help.

I'm going to go ahead and guess this presser isn't going to happen.  

When they announced Crean's firing, they announced it at noon with a 3 hour lead time to get media in place for the press conference.  The latest I can imagine a presser scheduled is for 6pm in order to hit the evening news .... 

Using a similar timeline, they have a bout 10 minutes to release a statement........Indy news stations is at least an hour away and 37 is a mess right now so they better call it soon or I don't think it's happening ....

I remember getting a notification about Kevin Wilson being fired around this time and I think the press conference was fairly late. So it could happen. Still find it unlikely.

I've said it before on here it is possible that IU could hire Billy Donovan and let him finish out the year with the Thunder. Look at what Vanderbilt did with Stephanie White while she was the coach of the Indiana Fever. It's not like it would be unprecedented in the NCAA. I wouldn't be surprised at all if this is how it plays out.
