In regards to locking up the state... the Movement was a class that locked up the state... careful what you wish for.

I would say if that is what IU fans now consider locking up the state then we do have a long way to go. The Movement was actually only 3 of the top 9 players in the state and only 1 of the top 4. I think we should be able to do that in our worst years.

It seems pretty obvious that they are at the very least going to talk to Alford. That won't happen until UCLA is out, so I wouldn't expect an announcement of any kind- Alford or otherwise- until after that. Unless, of course, you believe in the Donovan interest (I don't).

NOPE!  If Alford's the guy (god forbid), talks have already been taking place between FG and Alford's people and the deal is all but signed and you'll have an annoucement within 48 hrs of UCLA's tournament loss.  Also, there's no doubt in my mind that Alford's people have made it clear to FG they want to talk and FG will be obligated to at least go through the motions and I hope it's nothing more than a courtesy call on his part.  Did I mention I don't want Alford on our sideline?

Media have put it out there like these are the real candidates and as of now.

Billy D
Scott Skiles sigh
Dane Fife sign
Tony Bennett
Steve Alford NO
Chris Mack NO
Mike Woodson & Larry Brown no
Mike White
Gregg Marshall sigh

Kinda surprising Archie hasnt been mentioned more than MAYBE once and that was during the Dayton and WSU game timeframe.

This weekend should pick up steam. Candidates being out and Thunder being off for a few days is perfect timing to get details aligned to come here IF he wants.

They should rename that page to "For The Loss".

Their assertion about the DC talent pool neglects to mention that not one of those players attended G'Town.

Then their list of the "great players" who played at each school conveniently stops after three IU guys? Are you kidding me? Even to the point of leaving out guys like Isiah Thomas? Even if you are going to ignore thirty or so players, how do you ignore IT?

What fool wrote that?

Tony Bennett has had 3 transfers now since their loss last week.

I have heard the theory that they are transferring because he is out and on his way to IU

What if they are transferring because they don't like him or his style of play?

Its not like he changed his style this last year, they knew what he was going to run

could say the same thing with JBJ and Rojo, not that they have to make that decision now.
