I think an announcement has to be made this week. Gives IU the ability to actively go after their next coach. Unfortunately the Thunder and Celtics are in playoff battles. Neither are coming here IMO. Timing just doesnt work.

I don't know if I've ever seen a team coached from a legitimate top 5 team in the country into one of the worst P5 teams in the same season. And yes, they were rightfully top 5 in early December, and no, losing Anunoby has not made that much of a difference. Normally teams get exposed as frauds for the preseason hype they received, but this IU team earned every bit of praise beating KU and UNC. And now? 

I know that Crean has his flaws as a coach and I've called him out on them over the years, but this is embarrassing by even that benchmark.

Rest assured people, CTC is nothing more than a footnote in IU basketball history.  It may play out amicably or it may be messy but this marriage is irretrievably broken and Fred Glass isn't going to let it linger.  He's got his own IU legacy to protect.

I feel bad for this team. It's like everyone is suffering. They all look defeated. I wasn't really that aware during the end days of Davis so this is the first time I've watched this type of deal unfold and it's so weird.

I do feel bad for the team but, unfortunately for us fans, this is a good life lesson to everyone involved. The players will grow from it and be better because of it. It'll be interesting to follow all of the off-season storylines. I just wish we had an alpha dog on this team who wouldn't put up with this.

This isn't the first time Crean has had chemistry issues. Two things that factor into that are favoritism and the joke of a theory that "everyone's a leader." It's just not how the world turns.

Why are dakich and the other guy talking about IU and the NCAA tourney? Over and over? Haven't heard them mention Crean/hot seat/replacements etc.

Dakich was beating Crean's drum tonight - the man has won 2 outright  B1G championships in 4 years...

But I missed the part where he said that in the other 2 years of that 4 year period, CTC has failed to get his team into the dance... and let's not even discuss his prowess in the tournament.

Glass has to do something this year... the players have quit, the fans are bailing, and, no doubt, the $$$ from the deep pockets are drying up...
