Class of '66 Old Fart

IUWBB at Wisconsin - Sunday @ 3:00 ET

Recommended Posts

Good chance for our Lady Hoosiers to steal another road win against a poor Badgerette team.  Hopefully our ladies can give us something to feel more upbeat about when it comes to IU basketball in general.

Cahill has a total of 24 in her career - which ranks sixth all-time in school history. She also ranks sixth all-time in double-doubles in Big Ten games as she's recorded 13 in her career.    IU also has three active players on the all-time career blocks list.  Senior guard Alexis Gassion leads the trio of players with 79 career swats, which ranks eighth all time. Junior forward Amanda Cahill also registers on the list with 72 blocks, which ranks tied for ninth while senior center Jenn Anderson has tallied 55 blocks in her career which is 11th all-time.   Buss will be looking to extend her double-digit scoring streak to 58 consecutive games.

Indiana (14-6, 4-3 B1G) at Wisconsin (5-15, 0-7 B1G)   Indiana sits at No. 51 in the NCAA RPI while Wisconsin comes in at No. 192. Overall, the Big Ten features 10 teams in the top 100 of the latest RPI.

Wisconsin may be winless in conference play, but this is a big game for the Hoosiers to move up in ranking.  When we win today, we move up to a 5-3 record that is good for a 4th place tie with Purdue.  Since we beat the Boilers, we'd get that 4th place seed. Hope I've got this straight.

That would put us in 5th assuming NW wins today since we lost to them. They are up 32-19 @ Rutgers early in the 3rd.

Hasn't turned out to be the cakewalk we'd hoped for.  Fouls on Wisky have made all the difference as we've hit 15 of 19 from the stripe.  Unfortunately, our bench hasn't been overly helpful.  30 minutes of bench minutes and only 2 reb. and 2 pts.
