(2018) QB Reese Taylor to IU

Recommended Posts

Yeah, I would love to see this kid wearing an IU uniform.  Keep him at the QB spot as well.  He probably would fit in quite well with what Coach Allen is wanting to accomplish on the offensive side of the ball.

@SWiltfong247: Early favorite for Indiana's Mr. Football in Ben Davis ATH Reese Taylor has a top two of #Wisconsin and #IUFB

Wisky recruiting as a CB, all others as ATH.

Looks like Iowa is the other one. He visited them last weekend and MSU about a month ago.

@IndianaRivals: From @SamBeishuizen, 2018 three-star in-state athlete Reese Taylor has #iufb in his top three.

Indianapolis (Ind.) Ben Davis athlete Reese Taylor may have earned himself some more scholarship money on Wednesday night with a strong performance during his school’s workout, attended by several college programs.

In the meantime, Taylor’s top two schools were in the building watching him compete as the Hoosier State Mr. Football favorite took reps at receiver, cornerback and quarterback where he’ll lead his team this fall.

“Right now it’s probably IU or Wisconsin,” Taylor said of his favorites. “They’re battling right now.”

Other schools that were on the Ben Davis campus included Notre Dame, Northwestern, Michigan State, Duke, Purdue, Illinois and Iowa.

It was Bob Bostad who made the trip down from Madison to check out Taylor and Taylor will return the favor and visit next weekend.

“Wisconsin, they go out of their way to make a strong relationship with you,” Taylor said. “I’m visiting them not this weekend but next. That’s when I’m going to see how their football program is.”

Taylor has been to Indiana several times in the past.

“IU, they’re just, I like everything about their football program, the facilities, the coaches, the coaches are the best part. They’re good people too.”

247Sports ranks Taylor as the nation’s No. 33 athlete and No. 4 prospect in Indiana. As a junior he passed for 26 touchdowns and ran for 23 more.

Top in-state target was back in Bloomington

Indianapolis (Ind.) Ben Davis ATH Reese Taylor gives the latest after checking out Indiana again.

Indianapolis (Ind.) Ben Davis athlete Reese Taylor was back in Bloomington over the weekend.

The Hoosier State standout and Mr. Football favorite is a cornerback target for Tom Allen and company but starts at quarterback on Friday nights.

IU is battling Wisconsin and Iowa among others for 5-foot-10, 160-pound Taylor.

"It was a great visit like always when I go," Taylor said. "They really got into depth this visit. Haven't been disappointed yet by IU."

The top two remains the same, Hoosiers and Badgers. Taylor was recently in Madison as well.

"They are both great programs in every category that's why they are top two right now but they both have a lot of great things about them."
