More items of note from last night's game.

With her 11 first quarter points, junior guard Tyra Buss tied the school record of consecutive double-figure scoring games with 49. She ties Karna Abram who scored 49 consecutive double-figure games between 1984-85 and 1985-86. Buss finished the game with 35 points including a 19-for-20 clip from the free throw line.
·       Buss also broke the IU and Big Ten single game records for free throws made with her 19-for-20 performance. IU's previous record stood at 17 (Jori Davis, 2011) and the Big Ten record previously stood at 18 (Kelsey Mitchell, 2016 and Carol Szczechowski, 1990).
·       Buss's 19 made free throws in a single game are the second-most by any player in the NCAA this season (Larissa Larkin, 22).
·       Her 35 points scored in Tuesday's win are also the eighth most in a single game in school history.
·       Buss also moved up on the all-time scoring list, eclipsing 2,000 career points as she now sits with a career total of 1,224 (No. 16 all-time).
·       Junior forward Amanda Cahill recorded her 22nd career double-double with 21 points and a game-high 10 rebounds.
·       Cahill moves closer to reaching the 1,000 point mark with her 21 points on Tuesday night. She now holds 986 career points – just 14 points shy of becoming the 26th member of the IU 1,000 point club.
·       IU's 57 first half points were the most in a single game this season and the most under third-year head coach Teri Moren.
·       Their 102 points were also a season-high as Indiana has posted to two 100-point scoring games in the same season for the first time since the 1993-94 season.
·       Indiana's nine turnovers were the second fewest in a game this season.
·       IU also picks up a top 25 RPI win on Tuesday night – as Florida held the No. 21 RPI in the country coming into the game. The Gators are also receiving votes in both national polls.

Amanda Cahill Named Big Ten Player of the Week

ROSEMONT, Ill. – Junior forward Amanda Cahill has been named the Big Ten Women's Basketball Player of the Week, announced by the league office on Monday afternoon.

The Clyde, Ohio native is rewarded for her performances at the Florida Sunshine Classic where she averaged a double-double as she guided Indiana to two wins over Florida and Stony Brook. Cahill averaged 17.5 points and 11.5 rebounds to go along with 5.5 assists, 2.8 assist to turnover ratio, 1.5 steals and 1.5 blocks as she averaged 60 percent or better from the field (.609) and 3-point line (.625) in the non-conference finale.

She also became the 26th player in school history to reach 1,000 points in Wednesday's win over Stony Brook as she went 5-for-7 from the floor (.714) and pulled down a season-high 13 rebounds to go along with 14 points and dished out six assists, two steals and two blocks. In the Tuesday win against Florida, Cahill posted her first 20-plus point game of the season with 21 points to go along with 10 rebounds. She shot 56.3 percent from the floor and 60.0 percent from 3-point range (3-for-5) while adding five assists, a steal and a rebound in the win.

The back-to-back double-doubles are also the 23rd and 24th of her career as she now owns six of IU's nine double-doubles scored this season, including four-straight. In addition, Cahill now sits in a tie for sixth in career double-doubles at Indiana, tying Zan Jefferies (1988-91).

Cahill is the first Big Ten Player of the Week for Indiana this season. With junior guard Tyra Buss's selection in 2015-16, the duo combines for weekly honors in back-to-back seasons for the Hoosiers for the first time since the 2007-08 and 2008-09.

Indiana returns to the court on Wednesday when it travels to State College, Pa. for the Big Ten opener at Penn State. Tipoff is set for 7 p.m. ET and will be live on BTN Plus and heard on IUHoosiers.com
