  1. We are for sure losing Morgan, McRoberts, Fitzner. Possible transfers is pretty much everyone at the point but most likely are Green, Smith, Forrester, Moore and Anderson. Romeo is going to the NBA which was already known. We only have to commits so far in TJD and Franklin. Hunter may never play. That’s leaves us pretty weak at every position. Durham and Phinisee are good but not that good by any means. I don’t think Al is going to have any type of Oladipo Junior season. Next season could easily be worse than this year. I personally think it’s time for Archie to go. I don’t think he has what it takes to coach at the level we expect. But it’s also time for Glass to go because he’s definitely holding back out coaches when it comes to holding anyone accountable. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app

How bad will next season be?

Actually let me rephrase that. A GREAT coach can adjust. Archie isn’t anywhere near that and doesn’t seems to have it in him. His ceiling is maybe his brother. At the absolute best. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app

No. Archie isn’t a good coach. That’s the problem. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app

You can coach around that. A good coach can coach around that. The problem is that Archie isn’t. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app

How bad will next season be?

The team has known probably since before the exhibition that Hunter wasn’t playing this season. Thompson is a different story. But Hunter isn’t an excuse anymore. This team and coaching staff should have already been getting ready for life without him for a season. This team mixed with the game plan created by Archie, isn’t good in any shape or form. Two of our 4 wins are against the only 2 teams below us in the conference. That’s embarrassing. And the fact that so many continued to believe this team had a chance to make the tourney, and for any who still do, need to take off their crimson glasses and quit denying how terrible this season is. We may have wins over Marquette, Louisville and Michigan State but we also have losses to Northwestern, Rutgers, Nebraska(@$$ kicking), Arkansas and @$$ kickings by Duke, Michigan x2, Purdue and Minnesota. 7. I’m thinking someone who is about 6-5 to 6-7 who could play the 2-4 if needed. I think he likes to have plenty of wing players. What kind those are is hard to say at the moment but he seems to have a type he likes and I honestly think Jerome Hunter is exactly the type of player he loves the most. With what has been seen from players under Archie for two summers, player development is not a strength of his. So Forrester, Anderson and Moore will likely still be bench mob material. Al has made his shot better, but if he’s you’re #1 guy then you are winning 20 games by any stretch. He’s a guy that really shouldn’t be you’re 3rd option even. Hunter might return and play or he may never get to play again. We don’t know yet. Hopefully he does because next years team is going to need any help it can possibly get. We might get better if Smith and Green leave but you also have to add in that we are losing by far our two best players on a team that might not win 15 games. That doesn’t scream “going to be good next year” at all. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app
  11. We’ve been in the Top 5 for the past decade almost every year when it comes to revenue. So how much do you think we should be spending? Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app
  12. Tubby Smith won the SEC 5 times. Never won less than 22 games. Never missed the NCAA tourney. Never lost in the first round. Went to the Sweet 16 six times. Went to the Elite 8 four times, Final Four once and won a national title. Kentucky got bounced from the tourney his last two seasons after making the Elite 8 and got canned. They hired Billy Gillispie and he went 18-13 to the NCAA tourney and 22-14 to the NIT. He got fired. They then went out and through a ton of money at Calipari to get back to winning big. That’s what we need. We have to spend the money for a big time coach. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners

You fire Archie because at this point there isn’t any reason to delay the inevitable. It was the same with Crean. Archie isn’t made for this by any means. Basically Mike Davis all over again. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app

Cody’s freshman yr vs this year

You can probably argue that the Big Ten was as strong or stronger. The Final AP poll had MSU #5, OSU #7, Michigan #13, Wisconsin #14 and Indiana #16. Talent included Jared Sullinger, Aaron Craft, Deshaun Thomas, Draymond Green, Keith Appling, Adreian Payne, Braden Dawson, Trey Burke, Tim Hardaway Jr, Jordan Taylor, Ryan Evans, Jared Berggren, Zeller, Olafipo, Watford and Hulls. Those are the 6 teams that made the tourney. The rest of the league had Robbie Hummel, John Shurna, Drew Crawford, Matt Gatens, Roy Devyn Marble, Aaron White, Brandon Paul, Meyers Leonard, Rodney Williams, Trevor Mbakwe, Austin/Andre Hollins, Bo Spencer, Tim Frazier and Jermaine Marshall. Some of the lower teams don’t quite have that kind of talent. Illinois, Rutgers and Northwestern don’t really have anyone this year that sticks out much. The 12-13 was the strongest the B1G has been in years. That year was ridiculous. Because even Illinois and Minnesota had spent time in the Top 10 at one point. Wisconsin finished 18th and then Indiana finished 4th, Ohio State 7th, MSU 9th and UM 10th. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners

Officiating needs to be an NCAA thing rather than a conference thing. It’s normal for refs to miss stuff but calls differ from possession to possession and sometimes within a possession. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app
