(2021) SF - Aminu Mohammed to Georgetown

https://www.espn.com/mens-college-basketball/insider/story/_/id/29282714/predicting-where-top-2021-men-college-basketball-recruits-commit 10. Aminu Mohammed, 6-5, 190 pounds, SG Mohammed's guardian, Shawn Harmon, told ESPN that Georgia, Indiana, Louisville and Wake Forest have been the most consistent schools in terms of staying in contact. Harmon also mentioned Maryland -- where Mohammed took an official visit last fall -- SMU, Kansas State, Pittsburgh and Georgetown as schools that have been keeping in touch. He's taken unofficial visits to Kansas State, Louisville and Indiana. "For us it's a marathon, not a sprint, so we're just trying to build a relationship with all the schools that have made offers," Harmon said. "We think it's a great list of schools and some really good coaching staffs." Harmon said there are no plans to reclassify into 2020, despite rumors suggesting it's a possibility. There's no public top group for Mohammed, but Indiana has been involved a long time and continues to impress with its pitches.
  6. This bit caught my attention from The Daily Hoosier. ”While not always reliable, two Rivals analysts predicted that Miller would commit to IU after the news broke that Mike Miller was leaving Memphis.” https://www.thedailyhoosier.com/iu-basketball-recruiting-trey-patterson-sets-decision-date-mason-millers-dad-steps-down-at-memphis/

    (2020) PF/C - Dawson Garcia to Minnesota

I live in Memphis market, so the media here thinks they're going to get everyone (or, should get every recruit). I was listening to the local ESPN radio affiliate on my way home yesterday afternoon and they were talking about the various recruits that Memphis is involved with. Paraphrasing, but one of the co-hosts (columnist for Memphis Commercial Appeal) said the info he heard was that it was down to Memphis and Indiana, which is half truth of what some of you guys are hearing. But, the fact that Indiana is the constant should be viewed as positive. Again, just passing along what Memphis media thinks, but they are all fanboys so it's not necessarily unbiased.

    (2020) PF/C - Dawson Garcia to Minnesota

https://basketballrecruiting.rivals.com/news/starting-five-schools-feeling-good-after-usa-basketball Article indicates that Garcia is down to 4: Indiana, Marquette, Minnesota, and Memphis.
  12. Yes. Goodman is starting to make the rounds again. I think he started with the Mountain West, so should see an updated Big Ten in the next few weeks. It’ll be interesting to compare.
  13. New CB picks for Trendon, too. 2 for LSU, 1 for Bama (from the Memphis guy). Memphis fans seem to want Precious more, so the local talk on him seems to have died down a little.
  14. Chris Fisher (CatsPause) with the UNC pick.
  15. The VT guy actually logged the ??? pick. Iowa guy has the UNC pick.
  16. I believe one was a VT to UNC switch, and the other was a ??? pick.
  17. Jeff Goodman‏Verified account @GoodmanHoops 2m2 minutes ago Miami likely to land one of the top guards left on the board in the senior class: Montverde Academy’s Harlond Beverly. He also considered Georgia, Michigan, Virginia, Indiana, Baylor, Kansas. Combo guard originally from Michigan. CB picks also backing this up. Everyone switching to the U.
  18. A lot has happened since Trendon named his Top 4... Duke has now entered the mix, albeit with no offer, making it a Top 5. LSU - Will Wade suspended + majority of key players entering the Draft Alabama - fired Avery Johnson, leaving Watfords to build relationship with new coaching staff. Indiana has remained in the picture, but always unsure of exactly how far in we are. We'll know more after the in-home on Sunday. It was on a Memphis radio show, so very one-sided. I've provided this as discussion and an example of how one of the competing schools' media markets views this recruitment.
  19. I agree. Memphis media come across as very arrogant in regards to the basketball team. As @Fkfootball1 said above, they are some of the biggest homers. Gary Parrish is even worse on his show.
  20. Why? Did you listen to the same segment? Curious of your take on it then...
  21. I live in Memphis and was just listening to 92.9FM sports radio. Watford played in an All-Star game in Memphis last night and was interviewed by one of the radio show hosts. Here are a couple paraphrased comments: LSU - no way. Complete rebuild Alabama - Hosts said Trendon told them he didn't have a good relationship with them. Duke - If Hurt chooses them, then no. They think if Hurt goes elsewhere, he gets the scholarship offer. Indiana - Immediately said "he's not going to Indiana." Completely dismissed IU. No real reason why though. Christian was supposedly on the show yesterday (92.9 FM Jason & John Show) Memphis - came to conclusion as Memphis will be choice based upon how they described each above. https://247sports.com/college/memphis/Article/Jeffries-confident-Tigers-will-land-Watford-and-Quinones-131135027/

    Getting Rid of Cable...maybe

I switched to DirecTV Now for about 6 months and tolerated it, but the streams could get out of whack and the DVR never worked as advertised. The price points also increased on me from $50 or so to around $65, so the cost justification I made wasn't really there anymore.

    2019 Coaching Carousel

Mick Cronin seems to be today's contestant for the UCLA opening. Edit: Jon Rothstein reporting it's done.
  24. Whoever runs that account finally did something smart and deleted the account entirely. 1 day too late though

    2019 Coaching Carousel

sounds like Bobby Hurley is their top candidate. I believe I read somewhere that the St John's AD is also a Duke guy.
